Kokki sul!!!! Real korean hapkido. No fancy, but basic principles. Grabbing not the opposite site, but the same side. Nice stuff.

One question, why one has black clothes and one wears white? Does the clothes volor means something or anyone can wear either? Can a white belt wear a black uniform?

Not sure 100% what the deal is here, but at my Dojang part of the HKD curriculum also includes training in Gongkwon Yusul which is the Korean version of Jiu Jutsu with emphasis on ground techniques/grappling/throws. Our black GKY dobuks are a fair bit thicker than the white HKD ones, to permit rougher treatment when it comes to clothing grabs to set up a take down or throw.

Leuke technieken.

The guy knows his stuff but his kiap is so loud and always the same its so funny.

MaharlikaAWA My first martial art was TKD and Hapkido so I can appreciate having to do the kihap. At my dojo, everyone had their own yell and when I started I was self-conscious about sounding weird.
@MaharlikaAWA9 жыл бұрын
I kiap all the time. Its just in this video the dudes kiap is not really real its just I dont know funny.
@scottmarlow60189 жыл бұрын
MaharlikaAWA I always tried to make my kihap sync with exhaling to avoid getting the breath knocked out of me, if I was struck in the solar plexus, so it seemed lower in register to my ears.

The other guy is not even resisting let alone fighting back - a lot of these wouldn't work with a bodybuilder as an opponent - infact if you want to impress me do these techniques with a professional wrestler resisting
@eliomarcosta57528 жыл бұрын
The video just shows hapkido techniques. You are talking about 2 different things. It would be the same as to compare your bodybuilder against another guy carrying a machine gun lol. As I said, 2 different topics.
@mesutysh74958 жыл бұрын
if the principle is right, it would work even the opponent has the stiffest arm, we are talking about leverage & arm limited movement in direction other than it supposed to bend, elbow, wrist etc
@brucecharlie86138 жыл бұрын
Mesut YSH nice theory but nope. I thought that for a while though - Brazillian jujitsu has angles and strength but you need to be 80% through the submission setup before they are gonnas - same here aswell unfortunately
@eliomarcosta57528 жыл бұрын
Man...I am Brazilian. I know exactly what I am talking about. I see bjj wherever corner I step by. Different styles, different ways of training, just it. Don't overestimate bjj as if it was divine.
@brucecharlie86138 жыл бұрын
Eliomar Costa #1 I see most styes of BJJ as crap like the Gracie University style - ooooh did I just say that - terrible...They are definitely good but you don't take opponenets to the ground in self defence its just stupid.... I study 5 styles of martial art that has taken me 5 years of compairing martial art styles to find the best combination for me ( cause i'm not very strechy or strong to be honest ). #2 Doesn't matter what martial art you do, the angles will make your power to muscle mass more efficient, but if your average build a big gym brute will always win at wrestling if they have some knowledge... but use this analogy, a tuned up ford fiesta has no hope in beating a badly tuned Shelby GT 500... there is no such thing as an invincible kung fu master - that's Hollywood bullshit
