I want to be like that woman, I thought. "She makes me feel like I could be a tower". I can be like that woman, I thought (except for the tall bit). I started calmly, plotting my escape. Escape I did. This song will always be special to me.

You know what's sweet about this song that I just thought about now? This is literally another woman recognising that a woman is beautiful inside and out and instead of trying to tear her down or be better than her, she is inspired to express those same traits she found so beautiful in another.

I play this song every morning when I wake up to feel like a hot girl in New York who has no idea she's hot who gently wakes up and kisses her still asleep boyfriend before grabbing a bagel and hitting the squeaky clean subway to the office and waving to the garbage collecting employees (Cliché and kind of unnecessary but thanks for the likes guys)

i haven’t listened to this song in so many years… only just by hearing this song it makes me feel like i’m reliving my childhood vividly (i’m a 2000 baby.) it feels so insane how music can encapsulate memories and feelings from a time that will never be again, but you miss so deeply and are able to reminisce as if you are there again... but cannot be. it’s so bittersweet. i can barely describe in words. thank you brain for randomly having me sing it so i can listen to it and save it in my childhood playlist.
