This song is the first on the album, so as this long intro played I'd be loading up the squat rack and sometimes I'd add just a little extra; I called it 'the Metallica effect'. I mostly run now due to quarantine but man, I miss how fucking invincible the PUPPETS album would make me feel in the gym.

I had an awkward moment in music class when teacher played a song from black album (don't remember anymore what it was) as an example for some musical stuff. Not only I was the only one headbanging the whole song but when he asked if it was good afterwards, I was so pumped that I bounced standing raising horns and yelled "fuck yeah!". It takes A LOT of work to play this song. The rhythm guitar, WORK. The epic solo, WORK. The drums, WORK. The creativity, WORK. It is one of the most hidden gems in all of Metal. I’ll never forget where I was when I first listened to this album, especially this song. I coulnd wait to attempt to play it on guitar and it wears me out EVERY TIME. Excellent video my friend.

Master of Puppets as an album is probably overall the BEST they've created as a cohesive unit. If you notice on the album cover, the hands at the top with strings leading down to the grave markers showing not only "Puppets", but essentially the song "Disposable Heroes" - "You will do, what I say, when I say - Back to the front!" This whole album is just epic.
