My very first ride on the 390 on some highway and some gravel. My comments about the bike and a take a short coffee break on the woods. #ktm390adventure

Enjoy your bike, they are great fun. You'll be used to hearing the sound of the fans a lot, they come on super early (designed for the heat of India)

Thanks for the tip. I had noticed the fan was running and it really wasn't that hot and the bike wasn't working that hard.

If you set MTC off while the bike is not on, as soon as your turn the bike on, MTC automatically turns on. This is the only thing I hate about my 390, I hate this sooo much, that the only solution was adding a middle switch between the abs rear sensor cable to the handlebars, so now if I want to shut all off, I just flick a switch and done, and it will not reset until you flick the switch back on. This is probably the best mod to do for everyone doing heavy offroading like I do

Beautiful scenery you got there. Black Dog cycle works & NiceCNC make foot pegs for this bike to fix the angle. I am leaning towards the CNC ones mainly because of cost. The Black Dog ones are pretty expensive.

I have since got some NINECNC foot pegs and they are great. I removed the cleats though because they were way to grippy. I also added bar risers.

Just got my 23 390 adv. Been breaking it in but absolutely love the bike coming from a Verys 650 it jist handles amazing for how I ride definitely getting some upgrades to help it in lower rpm. But it's a race inspired bike and she smooths over 5,5 to 6k. Absolutely fits my style tho. What a weapon

Nice video! I love my ktm390 as well. You’ll love yours even more with a fuelx lite autotuner, one of the best upgrades for this bike. 👍

The name on the bag is Genesis. It was marketed as a tail bag for a sport bike. In general, I like the bag although the zippers could be a little more rugged. Thanks for checking out my video.

I did consider paying $200 for that option but of the reviews I have read, they are split so I will pass for now.

Excellent video! Thanks for sharing your adventure. I’m seriously thinking of trading in my 2021 CB500X for a 2023 KTM 390 Adventure. Anyone have opinions on whether I should or not?

I am now several months and have over 1000km on this 390. I have really only found 1 thing I don't like and it can be easily fixed. New foot pegs and bar risers are all you really need to add and you are set. As compared to the 650 Vstrom I used to ride, (which is very similar to the CB500X) this 390 is in another class. I suggest to go test ride a 390 and compare.

Unless you are quite small I would stick with the 500X.

Are you facing any stalling issue in low rpm

I have heard from other riders that there is stalling at low RPMs. I really haven't experienced that at all yet. In slower technical terain I will ride it like a 2 stroke, keeping the RPMs high and slip the clutch. I am also considering a Fuelx light.

I also use it as a commuter in the city to zip back and forth to my work. Never had stalling problems riding on the street.

I have a 21, the only stalling I experienced was my own fault.

WATCHING NOW: I see a 2021 KTM 390 ADV with 1,597 kms currently for sale in Okotoks listed at $7600 ($6800 if he removes all the Mods) I'm looking for the 1st year model (I think that means 2018) with under 9,999 kms for $6000. Please keep your eyes out for me. I sure like that your has Spoked Rims, that very valuable even if that means you have tire tubes inside, right.?

2020 was the first year of the 390 ADV. The 390 engine has been around for a lot longer, but not the 390 ADV variant.
