KTM 450 supermoto update | 450 EXC | First test ride

Күн бұрынI finally received my Warp 9 custom wheels. Weeks before that I got tires. I converted my KTM 450 EXC to a supermoto with new brakes, fender, and shortened kick stand. This video shows my progress and first ride and impressions. Many more videos with my KTM in the future.

Nice bike dude, I own a 05 525 exc, people don't realize how reliable and powerful these RFS ktms are. They make great dual sport/supermoto's.

Damn clean EXC! Bought an 06 450 SMR and it took most of the summer to get it set up how I wanted it, but man so much fun on the street!

Check your header gasket and bolts. It it's not sealing it will backfire and pop.

maybe change rear pipe might help power/sound seems little flat for 450 :/ thought it would lift on power nice wheels tho

well I haven't been really trying to lift it up. I have a lot more seat time on the bike now. yes I will get a exhaust at some point. I did a few nice power wheelies on the way to work this morning. it rips!

Yeah I dont see how people fit the 5" in the rear on an EXC. Tight fit with the 4.25 mine

Jim Mullen sold it with 6k miles on it. Converted it back to dual sport and sold all parts individually. Bike was just about perfect and 100% reliable when sold. I have a 2020 500 now.

Question, how did you reprogram the speedometer to accomidate the smaller rim? Also, how do you shorten the stock kickstand? I have the exact same bike.

cristianthegr8 you punch in the code 1882 on your stock speedometer and it converts right over. I took a torch and heated the kick stand to remove the plastic bottom of the kickstand. Then used a hack saw to cut off about a inch and a half. Then re glued the end back on

6ix Hundo the bike was 3800 from original owner. wheels were 1350 with all the special colors etc.
