Fair play Kate, that weather was BRUTAL!! Welcom to Wales (in the summer 🤣🤣🤣) You could see, even with the poor conditions, how confident you seemed to be, on the KTM. I could tell, from the riding and talking, that despite the vile weather, you were actually enjoying yourself 🙂 I think you summed up the bike perfectly, great bike for someone, like me, who wants to do a little green laning, very light off roading, but also cover a fair few miles on road. It's exactly why, I bought mine! Personally, I think it's one of the best 'middle weight' ADV bikes out there, because of what you get, the physical size and power of the bike, for the money. Yes, I know, quick shifter, cruise control etc. are extra....... I'm really looking forward to a more, indepth review, in the future. Awesome video Kate, keep it up. Grumps

I loved the intro. For me, an undedicated rider, if you combine rain and dark riding (dusk, night, dawn), rain and wind, or wind with night riding that puts my discomfort level beyond my safe riding threshold.

Aah Welsh weather, they do it proper down there. I left in '86 and have not once thought about going back for more than a holiday. I used to get wet to my underpants every other month on my bike. Since living in the South East of England, maybe got that wet 4 times in nearly 40 years

I have 3 scales for forecast wind gusts in the UK when riding the motorbike, 50mph: be careful, tuck in. 60mph: avoid going out. 70mph (hurricane force almost): extreme caution, only emergencies!

Good job done Kate. Says a lot about the usability of that bike that it's equally accessible to a rider of your size and someone like Chopsy who is over 6' tall and twenty odd stone. Not every adventure bike can pull that off.

I rode my nsr 125 over a bridge in Wales in wind like this. I got the knee down ( without the elbow) in a straight line. 2007 was a fun summer

Just an idea. It would be nice if you timestamp all your adventures to keep us all from getting confused about your present status. “Is she still living the high life or is she hanging from a tree in the middle of a storm?” It might actually keep some of us from worrying too much. 😘

Hey Kate. I look for the 790 Adv as my second bike(own already a 2023 Bonneville T100. I’m 176 cm tall en inside legs 30” but i could reach the ground with both feet. Are you smaller? Btw nice review like all your reviews. Like the channel👌🏼 Gr Eric from Holland

One advantage to being a Short Arse on an adventure bike is you look really comfy when sto od on the pegs. Poor old Chopsie looks like a gorilla trying to hump a piglet.

No fun in that at all. I did a tour of Wales back in June, and was soaked to the skin for 3 days solid, with fog, and side winds pushing you into oncoming traffic. I can laugh about it now, but at the time it was just a test of character.

Talking about living the glamorous life. Yuk, Still a true adventure though. And If I ever get preachy again: You’ve got all the skills girl. It’s only the fear of the fear. Never good to tighten up on a bike. About the bike though: As good as it may be it is UGLY! Especially in white. Like an electric bike design gone totally wrong. And I love electric bikes!
