Join me for a journey on board KTM ETS Platinum Business Class from KL Sentral to Butterworth!
Heading to Butterworth and Penang for the new Penang Ferry ( • NEW PENANG FERRY! 🇲🇾⛴️... ), I caught ETS Platinum 9174up in Business Class to get to Butterworth by train, since I haven't taken ETS Business Class in a long time.

Thank you so much for sharing your train trip. May I know if it is ok to walk in to buy train tickets at the KL Central Station to destinations like Ipoh, Penang?

It's not okay at all. Tickets are open for booking up to 7 months before departure, so there is a very high chance that tickets will be sold out on the day of departure itself.

ETS practices Flexi Fares. Search for your exact date and time of travel to check the fare.

For KL Sentral to Butterworth? Absolutely not. It's for sale up to 7 months before departure.

@@ilikewhiteasparagus That is sold 24 hours before departure as per existing short-distance rules, not specifically for Business Class only. Do note that taking ETS Business Class for the short hop from KL Sentral to Ipoh is a bad deal due to the high base fare and you will not get the second meal service. Do also note that there is no Business Class offered on the regular Ipoh-series ETS trains.
