XR650Rs are so much more than that motor (good as it is). the bike just works, and works v/well in more places than anything i've ever riden. sand, boulders, tight trail (?), and God know fast tracks and open roads... and, it bulletproof.

Tight trail too! It's all about clutch control.This bike make you feel like nothing else IMO. Love my ol'2000.

Yeh! It's a shame we all can't comment how good the 500 is and in all honesty it's the better bike ......but!! Man, I love the big old power the 650 delivers its such a Classic big bore Ride. Long live the Pig.

Same situation here (as Tim V). I have a 2000 with hardly any use that has been stored covered in the garage all these years that I have been riding street bikes. I put in the HRC kit when it was new and it goes fairly well. I got the bug and was going to go through it thoroughly and then unfortunately severely broke a rib. Now I can't even tinker on it. Maybe in a few weeks I can start going over it, change fork, shock oil, etc. I can't wait to ride it.

Nice video very Cool- I’m 6’7’ 300 lbs. I’ve had a 1997 XR 600 sold and some time ago. I’m ready to bike a xr650r. In Cali Is their a best yr to buy? What Beach was that? Regards

New Year before last I did the ride from Rainbow Beach on a 2016 BMW F650, weighed down with panniers. Bloody hell it was hard. Except the sand was so soft I thought I was going to lose it, even though I was crawling along. Were my tyres too firm, wrong time of day (after tide had come in), wrong bike ? (Can't be it was the wrong rider, obviously!)

its cooloola way just a dirt road runs through N/P ,,,you can use google maps you see it , i dont have gpx files to share takes to much time cutting them out using base camp is one fucked up program ,some idiot at Garmin programed , its a fucking nightmare to use ,

yeh was first test in 1080p at 50-mps youtube put VP9 codecs on this video cause it got lots of views in 24 hours didnt look so good at first ,,now to get vp9 on all my videos i upload in 2k using a filter to upscale , you automatically get vp9 with any file upload larger then 1080p . , ,and higher bit stream , same as they give popula partner channels ,with large sub numbers and followers ,

and yes camera has best stabilization of all action cams , i now shoot in 100mps ultra HD then upscale it to 2k before i upload

I saw this video and it happened to me. I went out and got one. That was one of my best decisions, if not the best. Excluded my wife. Love the xr650r 😍😍😍 and my wife too
