President William Ruto’s voice has faltered as he addresses Kenyans, oscillating from a mixture of deep feelings of rage, empathy, hurt, and reflection.
With a more emboldened Gen Z population across the country making a huge list of demands, an agitated stronghold, rebellion from his Deputy, a possible shrink in the tax collections, and condemnation of...

Let Ruto, not feel that he was not heard! He spoke eloquently as he is good at it. He also said very good things of what he has managed to achieve and his concerns over the tax bill. He however needs to understand his audience, this was not a time to show strength, but was a time to show compassion. Another point is that majority of his good ideas are surface based and don't trickle down to the people. His ministers appoint people of their tribe regardless of qualifications to excecute his initiatives and in the end Ruto fails to deliver. Ruto needs to realize that he can't run the country by himself, and its very important to have competent people working for him. Kenyas dept can be fully paid quickly with the corruption money in parastetals, and other government agencies. Ruto should not fear getting people who are able to tell him the truth, the "yes sir people" are the ones that got us to this mess. Now the Gen Z are doing the work of the parliament while they are on recess, and getting paid.

The journalists are even competing among themselves. Including the said abductions: Do the three journalist hold brief for someone. I usually ask how the media wants the country to look like? When the president talks of goons who every Kenyan know are present during the maandamano, the journalists and the entire media give a blind eye to that. So to them the hooligans were right, those who lost their businesses deserved it and everything that happened on the streets was called for. Who are you 'Big Media' working for? Because it is not all Kenyans.

It is regrettable to observe pervasive bias across all media platforms, indicating an underlying agenda in interviews. Nevertheless, an acknowledgement of the necessity for the Kenyan government to enhance its transparency regarding the utilization of public funds is warranted. This includes the imperative to recalibrate the compensation of government officials, ensuring parity with the impact on the average Kenyan citizen.

Poleni sana kwa maafa na msiba. Why does the media sound so biased. And by the way they interrupts Ruto constantly, just to drive a point . I actually checked that bill and I didn't see anything to do with land owners leasing, that was bs and fabricated. Right? The question is, is there a bigger picture behind the small picture? Like an entity that feeds on our debt that is mad that its plate might get smaller with time. I believe this one is pulling the strings attached. Expose those ticks. Also on educating citizens about national debt. I suggest a big screen to be raised where everyone can see the national debt clock in real-time asap.

A wonderful interview Mr President. Were the 24 people allegedly shot actually shot the demonstrations and in which town did that happen?. The police officers should arrest anyone who resist arrest regardless of the cries from their family members. Innocent Kenyans should keep of the location where Gen Z innocent demonstrators mixed with criminal Gen Z gangs are likely to crash with our security officers to avoid being hit by a bullet meant for a criminal. To avoid such accidents, innocent Kenyans who are not in the innocent Gen Z demonstration and not in the criminal Gen Z thugs and looters group should be a distance away from the innocent Gen Z demonstrators seen mixed with criminals Gen Z thugs and looters group to limit the chances of being hit by police bullets meant for criminals. Parents must warn their children from following the mixed multitude to protect them from being hit by stray bullets meant for chriminals. Innocent Kenyans and children must be made aware of the danger of following a mixed multitude likely to fight with our security forces because of risk of being hit by stray bullets meant for criminals. Some innocent Kenyans and children are accidentally killed by stray bullets because they deliberately ignore these personal safety measures. The parents own negligence may result to sn accidental shooting of children. and Kenyans who neglect to take safety measures and follow up the mixed Gen Z multitude who are likely to fight with the police may be accidentally hit by police bullets not meant for them but for criminals. Deaths caused by negligence of the dead should neither be blamed on the police officers nor on our president. Our security officers should be very watchful to ensure that wicked members of Gen Z criminal group (mixed with innocent Gen Z demonstrators) don't shoot down innocent Kenyans and them blame our security officers for the shooting. The human rights officers should be objective, just and just. They should be concerned with violation of the human rights of innocent Kenyans by the big multitude of Gen Z innocent youth demonstrators mixed Gen Z youth thugs and looters. Whenever the Gen Z mixed multitude enter s town or city some shops are looted, private property like houses, business and vehicled are destroyed etc. Such atrocious activities are public violations right of Kenyans and the human rights body of Kenya must speak for the respect the right of Kenyans by thisiltitude and strongly condemn the mixed Gen Z multitude hindering other Kenyans from enjoying their rights property, operating their businesses without illegal trespass and plunder from Gen Z criminals group. it's sickening to see that human rights officers lean more on the side of protecting demonstrator right to free speech and right to peaceful demonstation while saying little or nothing about the violation of the right of other Kenyans by Gen Z peaceful demonstrators and Gen Z thugs and looters. Furthermore the officers of the human rights body of Kenya and the main stream media journalists are quick to condemn and demonize police officers whenever a seemingly innocent person or child is accidentally wounded or killed by a bullets shot by police officers in line of duty. They don't stop to think about the right of the police officers to defend themselves and other innocent Kenyans and their properties. They don't stop to think the risk to life that militant mixed multitude of demonstrators pose to police officers. These champion of human rights in Kenya don't seem to sympathize with police officers who suffer injury or crippled or killed by militant demonstrators. They don't strive to alert the demonstrators of the right of police officers to self defense and defence of innocent Kenyans against militant demonstrators. Whenever a police officer is injured or overwhelmed and his gun taken from him by s demonstrator or even killed, these skewed champion of human rights and reporters look the other way or report it lightly to limit the Kenyans ñattention to the incidence. But when a police officer shoots a militant criminal or accidentally shoots an innocent Kenyan, these unjust champions of human rights and tough speaking journalists become highly charged, and publicly condemns the police officer, calling him "killer cop", "trigger happy" etc without saying anything about officers right and duty to self defense and defense of other innocent Kenyans. The government should come up with clear policy and mechanism to protect our police officers from intimidation, persecution and defamation by human rights officers and corrupt journalists.

As a trained journalist, The interviewers failed by bringing forth their personal hatred to the president in the interview. As much as the main Kenyan media (Royal Media Services, Nation Media Group, Standard Media Group and Mediamax) did not support Dr. William Ruto since his candidature for presidency, when he won the presidency, the media should just accept and become a watchdog as it should but not insight the masses against the government, just because the president was not their candidate. The journalist in this panel wanted to pin down the president with an intention of pinning him down. The journalists wanted to ask questions but not ready to get responses, but its like they wanted to ask rhetorical questions, with an answer already predetermined. They kept on asking about the dead people, and still when the president says he gives an assurance to the mother of the young man, they still insist on whether the president is not remorseful. It is common sense that when the police are pursuing a criminal, there must be casualties, but these experienced journalists would not even listen. When the president starts explaining something sensible, they intercept. It's like they want the president to answer their questions in a particular way.
