@@RUTHLESSambition5 If that's true, then the family's D.N.A. had to have been put in the database. Actually, if the cops never arrest a person, they will get lain off from their jobs. The cops love it when the public thinks they always get their suspect. This does cause 4 percent of people in prison to be in there for a reason they can't figure out, but the other 96 percent of people in prison remember breaking the law and know exactly why the cops threw them in.

Was she raped and murdered? I’ve never heard of this case before and am wondering what it details are. Very tragic and unfair that it’s been 30 years. Don’t understand why someone would go into their house just to kill a barely 14-year-old girl. That’s why I wonder if she was raped as well.

I don’t know the details of the case, but if there was no sign of a break in then it might have been a friend, which is very sad. Or someone disguised as a maintenance worker she trusted and let inside. Also back then there was lots of gang activity or that is how I remember it. I’m around Jenny’s age, but lived several stars away, and remember being scared of gang members killing random people for their initiation. Even thug wannabes doing that crap to be tough.

I doubt it! Seems like the Alameda County only does the talking PR crap and sadly not much action. A few years ago, they said 'we are very closed to find the murderer'. This year, they said 'it is on the top of their priority list'. So, what's next year is going to be? Almost finding!? They kept saying to push it off every year. Alameda County investigators are probably the worst in the country. They are too lazy to work. How many crime cases have the solve? Can they show us the proof of what are they doing now on this case?

A smart murderer would not move out of a neighborhood as soon as he can right after the murder, but would wait 2-3 years. Moving out too quick leaves possibly suspicion. Cops need to check everyone who moves out even years later.

Tupac's killer was Orlando Anderson and it was known soon after the killing took place. Anderson was the one who wanted him dead but the police were unable to make arrests due to witnesses refusing to cooperate. Anderson himself was killed decades ago, so these guys who were finally arrested were his accomplices. There is no real comparison to be made with Lee's unsolved homicide.

He must have been one of the guys who raided Doug Ryen's home way back in 1983. This is significant for me because Doug Ryen came to my property to show off his Arabian horse. Nobody likes to hear a person who was on his property was a victim of a crime against persons along with his family and his son's friend.

@@Ennui83 Eh? I was friends with the "other" Korean girl in the Serial podcast. Cops had no clue or real leads. Eventually, they matched the DNA because she was SA'd. Dude wasn't even on the possible list of suspects. And, that's how cases are solved now. DNA or the murderer gets "weak" and confesses to someone and that person turns them in.

The father's occupation is not listed; what time did he finish work? What was the mother's occupation? Where was the sister? What about the whereabouts? Time is crucial. She was on the phone at 5:15, and her father found her at 6:45, which is crucial. This wasn't sexually motivated or a robbery, but her clothes were removed. Why? This person was intelligent and had pre-planned.

If the DNA has never matched, then the killer might have died shortly after and this murder was his (or her) first crime. So, you have to look at people who died soon after as well … but that would a huge undertaking. I hope they find the murderer before the parents pass away.

I was wondering if they tried to do an Ancestry DNA to just kind of like get the idea of who this person’s genetic relatives are so at least they’ll have a better idea what ethnicity this person might come from. I don’t know anything about how it works but I was just curious.

If they have the person's D.N.A., then they know his/her gender, race, eye color, and ancestry. I wish they would tell why they think he did it. If they say it was sexually motivated, then it must have been a man who did it, but if that had nothing to do with it, then it could still have been a woman who did it.

Funny how it's 30yrs instead of 11 yrs or 27yrs.. if they were serious about the crime, they'd have been working with orginal and current investigators of this case, or with groups of private (or nonprofit) investigators, or criminology professors and students.., not with these cheap media.
