I actually really like that despite Liu Kang trying to make a better universe and changing the fortunes of people certain aspects still take place. - Kuai Liang still gets his scar and becomes enemies with Bi Han who himself goes down a darker path. - Mileena and Baraka both become Tarkatans even though Liu Kang had made the universe in a way that Tarkatans as a race wouldn't even exist. - Kenshi still becomes blind but bonds with Sento. - Shao becomes a warlord despite initially starting off a loyal general for the legitimate betterment of Outworld. - Jerrod still dies and becomes a soul within Ermac. - Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, despite being specifically given meanlingless lives still acquire access to powerful sorceries and become pains in everyones ass. Obviously there was some manipulation going on with some of these situations but even then its like the universe is steering certain events towards specific outcomes.

It's outright stated in MK11's ending for scorpion that hanzo is destined by superior forces (greater than kronica's power) who are making sure he'll end up losing his family, no matter how many times he tries. And in smoke's ending, hanzo is already comming from the slums trying to survive, alone

Obvious Kano main here, but it aint as random as you think. The dude isnt your everyday jobber, hes king jobber. Lore wise he's a key figure for a lot of the events in game. He saved Kabal, defeated the Shokan during the outworld civil war, stole Shinnok's amulet, rebuilt the cyber Lin Kuei, and destroyed the main special forces HQ

@@supaflyn4825 no it is not. Kronika is a titan of time. In mk11 scorpion’s arcade ending he kills kronika and becomes a titan himself. He tries to make a perfect timeline where his wife and son aren’t killed, but he still fails to do so. After eons he finds out that there are titans besides the titan of time, which kronika was. Mk11 arcade endings are supposed to be canon as every single mk character became a titan of time in their own timeline in mk1

Hanzo appears in endings as an orphaned child recruited into the Shirai Ryu. Takeda in the DLC is just Kenshi's son. More than likely he's just time displaced.

I cant wait for an open world MK Game I think we can all agree Mk Shaolin Monks was top shelf and way ahead of its time. (Open World, 2P Co-op, Versus, Gameplay, Storyline, Some Classic MK Titles and of course Replay Value) All off the charts I cant even imagine how amazing it would look in this day and age

Subzero betrayed scorpion by joining the main group of villains for this story and they had a major fight. This lead to scorpion and smoke leaving the lin kue and creating the shirai ryu. And surprisingly enough apparently hanzo hasashi is in there and he is most likely gonna be takeda

Honestly they play this like it’s a new angle on Scorpion and Sub Zero but it’s just the normal Kuai Liang/Bi Han struggle but Kuai Liang absorbed Hanzo’s life as well and Bi Han’s cartoonishly evil without having been made into Noob Saibot

In fact, in the comics that precede Mortal Kombat XI it is said that it was Kuai Liang himself who made the cut using one of Ravik's cursed daggers. For some reason they changed this for the game

Okay, I gotta give respect to Bi-Han for that feint. Though, he could've gone for a thrust to the chest while Quai Liang was holding his empty hand. He had like 3 seconds to stab him befor Quai Liang noticed. But yeah, Quai Liang is still relevant for the plot
