The title of this vid is exactly what I’ve been wondering so thank you for doing this. I’m shopping for an 5 string Ibanez premium right now and haven’t played a fan fret yet. Great video, you play wonderfully!

you play it good the only thing I hear is that the muting seems difficult because I hear some strings ringing al the time.

Ringing can be dampened by putting a fret-wrap or hair-tie above the nut. You'll see it being done on a lot of 8 string guitars.

I was worried about wrist tension but it doesnt seem to be an issue
