Yeah, few chapters later, his mom said that Junta didn't really like coffee with milk and sugar but he adjusted to it very well in this scene with Kubo to make her feel happy...

I learned a long time ago that cold-brew reduces the bitterness, and means I’m not waiting for it to brew in the morning! But I wind up cutting it with water because that flavor is STRONG! I also like to sweeten with cream and sugar. Now my grandfather… that man liked to CHEW his coffee. I’m pretty sure he once fixed his driveway with a pot of the stuff. It was so freaking strong!

nothing wrong with that, there's 3 type who pick black coffee w/o sugar and milk 1. pretending to like it 2. diabetes 3. cant deal with sweet stuff (outside from medical reason) if you arent number 2 or 3 just use sugar and milk no one will judge

How is that weird? She's got the chibi look, the starry eyes, and even a hint of obliviousness with the way the animators chose to portray her here. All characters that are very much present in Seita.

I work at a coffe shop and 95% of my costumers put sugar and milk in their coffee and they are 30+yo so having black coffee is not a "grown up" thing 😂

Let's agree that coffee is bad, especially black coffee, I drink at most about 100ml of it black because I don't want to overdo it with sugar to improve the flavor, but the stuff is horrible.

The thing if you want to get use to black coffee, is that you have to keep drinking it to build up tolerance towards it. Then you'll get use to the flavor and the bitterness. Then you can now find it delicious.
