This video will highlight some exciting new projects we will be doing on the channel. We get started with breaking ground on a gravel pad that needs to be measured with a transit (laser) to find grade and how much overburden needs to be removed. We then take a look at a walkway that is deteriorating and needs to be re-enforced with a concrete sidewalk and concrete retaining wall.

Sidewalk sounds like it will be nice you’ve got lots of earth to move for the pad. Going to be a fun tractor job!

Those are good size projects to take on Mike. Going to be a fair amount of dirt to take out on a 3 foot incline. The footing, wall and slab will be nice once done. Looking forward to seeing the progress of the projects.

It is a great idea to build and area for all your attachments, it sounds like a fun project. The wall and path sounds like a bigger project. I am looking forward to seeing updates on the projects

Thanks Joseph! Yeah the front will be lots of concrete and we are mixing it as well! 😮 way to much here for a concrete truck.

Good Morning Sir 👍😇👌That will be nice for you that have that storage area for all your implements 😇👍 Yes Sir batteries out when not in used !!! 🧐👍👍 Great plan for your front house but I will go deeper than 3 feet since water and frost will affect it greatly. have many french drain all around and the base concrete footing anchor with steel beam screws under the footing. 👍😇👌Cheers 🍻🍻

How's she goin'? The laser level is a nice unit!! I like it. When you were showing us the concrete walk way project I was thinking, this is not a weekend project! It'll be intense I bet. Good luck with it and it'll sure make the front of the house look nice!! Take 'er easy!!

Yes Mike definitely not a weekend project for sure. As always though things are changing a bit. We may go with a more natural walkway than a big slab of concrete? Bark mulch path with big stepping rocks ? We will see how it transpires…. Thanks for tuning in and have a great week my friend .

@@maintenancewithmike That sounds like a nice option for the path. I think it would be hard to get the trench dug on the walk right now. Not much room for your tractor up there eh!!

@GrampiesWorkshop we plan on still digging a trench for some sort of retaining wall weather it’s concrete or block is the question. Yes, one shot to dig my way out. No going back to dig more, the tractor won’t fit. Lol
