We're going from Snow Season to Mow Season here at Huser Helpers. Today's challenge is getting the RCK60B-23BX and RC54-G20 mower decks serviced up and ready to cut that spring grass.

Great comparison video.. nice to see the differences in the 2 decks and what Kubota has changed and hasn’t changed over the years. I do like the guide wheel mounts on the G-series deck much better they not only look better built but can be removed and replaced if broken.. iv seen a lot of guys break the guide wheel mounts off their bx decks by running them into stumps and what not. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

Giana! I was way off! I think I called her Gracie in our livestream the other day. The mower decks looks well maintained and ready to go! *Keep on tractoring!*

I just bought a G1880S, what a tank! This one has 3 point and bagger system. The deck RC54-G20 is not level and I believe it levels the same as BX with jam nut system etc...the blower system is heavy and assume the weight of it has made the deck un level. One good thing is even with the blower off the deck it is still un level which tells me it can be adjusted. If w/o blower and was level I would assume a worn part would be problem. 670 hours with front blade as well, very well cared for. thx for letting us know that rear deck casters control mowing height. Also, this one has diverter valve to control 3 point or deck which I love. Thanks again!

Awesome, you'll love it. As for leveling right to left, this is done with the front link. Make sure your rear wheels on the deck has even wear as well. You can test this by moving the wheels to opposite sides. The lift link adjustment will only adjust right and left at full lift. Do you have the quick detach front link, or the two individual pin on links? Thanks for watching, Jason

@@HuserHelpers Quick detach single handle, my assist springs are slightly different they have release handles which is nice. So these decks are non carrying? So rear deck wheels are for height and fronts should be riding on ground as well? I'm use to my JD zero turn which believe is a carry deck. So far I see it needs new deck wheels pins in front, that's a lot of weight unless if properly adjusted they shouldn't ride on the ground.

Oh! Explain "float position" please,,,I lower my deck and return lift handle to center, is that right?
@HuserHelpers2 жыл бұрын
HI Edward, sorry for the late reply. These decks are a partially carried deck. The front of the deck is suspended by the tractor, but is on kind of a parallel linkage, so if the back wheel drops in a hole, the front will lower as well.
@HuserHelpers2 жыл бұрын
Float is to position for lower. The valve has a detent in it, which allows the valve to stay in this position. This allows the deck to raise and lower as you drive across the yard. If you were to lower the deck and one of the rear deck wheels was to land on a pile of dirt, and you were then to start driving forward, the deck would not drop to the ground if the valve was in the hold position. Does that make since?

Do you have a tutorial on how to remove the deck from the G1800? I can’t figure out how to detach the drive axle.
@HuserHelpers2 ай бұрын
I am bot sure what you mean by drive axle. The PTO shaft should use a quick coupler. Then it is two quick release pins on the back. If you have the quick release in front it is easy

Mine pulls right out, but there is also a pin in another location to disconnect
