Engine starts at 5:20 First light puffs of smoke with fail to start was the fuel lever falling back to off position under cranking vibrations.

Hi, great vid. I have the same engine and cant work out where the temp sender is located?

Typically the temp sending unit is in the thermostat housing.

It's also possible the water temp switch is mounted in the cylinder head on one of the corners. There's often a 1/8" NPT threaded hole that's linked to the coolant jackets.

@@canadadiesel5824 my g3hst came with a blank plate where the hour/temp gauge should be. It has the plug behind the blanking plate. There is a guy breaking a g3hst on ebay so might ask if he can sell me the sender. Ive located the plugged corner but all the g3hst pics of the 600d engine ive seen you cant see the temp sender. I thought itvwas near the oil filter but i think this is the oil pressure sensor.

@@fiveminuteman near the oil filter is very likely oil. The blocks are full of machining holes that are plugged off or used to grab oil pressure. Coolant is usually in the head or thermostat housing on any application. What's the G3HST a Kubota model or another make using the Kubota D600?

@@canadadiesel5824 it's a Kubota G3HST with the D600 engine. Ideally I need to look at one with the hours/temp clock already installed and work out where the sensor is. Ebay list temp gauge and NPT size sensor for less than £10.
