Does Kubota actually have their own version of a John Deere AutoConnect system? I just got in a Kubota BX23S with Kubota's Easy Over Mower Deck System on it. This is something I've never used and rarely seen. In fact, when I've had to add mower decks to BX tractors in the past, the Kubota dealers I've purchased from have advised against adding the Easy Over option. I don't know the cost, I don't know the long term history, but I thought I'd try it out while I had it here.
Kubota's Easy Over mower deck system definitely functions in a completely different manner than John Deere's AutoConnect system, however the same general idea applies. There's ramps involved that allow you to drive on and off of the mower deck. There's also a PTO coupler that eliminates the need to reach far under the tractor and manually connect and disconnect the PTO shaft. My general impressions were that it is definitely not as refined as John Deere's AutoConnect system and seems to have some rudimentary aspects to it, I would choose it if purchasing a brand new Kubota BX tractor. That being said, there seems to be a lot of flimsy parts and simply too many moving parts involved which leads me to believe there's an increased likelihood of something being damaged or becoming misaligned fairly easily.
