That is a very nice tractor, David. Your points are well taken, and I concur. Kubota makes a fine product, but you would think they could have sealed that up better by the levers?!? It seems these manufacturers either overlook, or ‘skimp’ on the silliest and easiest of things! My good Neighbor and friend used to plow everyone’s driveways on my road. I have an especially long driveway., and i loved to see him use that back blade, and move that snow like nobody’s business. AWD and 90 Hp helps! Sadly, he sold off all his equipment, and his property, just to move into the house next to him. It’s his wife’s brothers house. He had knee surgery, and I guess he got to the point where it was too much!? He told me he cried like a baby when the person he sold the tractor to, loaded it up and drove away. I’ll miss that tractor, especially if we get a big snow, which is not that often. Everybody out there just take a deep breath, and trust in the Lord, to see you through. A lot of evil things going on in this great Country, and I’m gonna leave it there! Peace 👍👍👍✌😊🙏🇺🇸

Pasture, sure, as long as it hasn't been raining for two days before and the ground and grass is so slick you can't get good traction. Yep, go for it if all you had was a morning shower and it turned off sunny and hot. Maybe closer to 5 o'clock, but if there is too much ground to get cut before dark, starting earlier is what you have to do.

I’ve field mowed in light rain a few times, but only when it started raining after I’m already mowing. I have a John Deere 3046R with a factory deluxe cab, and live in central Florida and in the middle of summer when mowing, it’s a struggle. I’ve thought about tinting, but worry that it will impact visibility too much. I get holes all the time, and in most cases mine are turtles.

Thanks for commenting . That’s one thing I worry about as well is when using the loader will I be able to see as well leveling dirt or gravel.

Yes, I will mow(bush hog) in the drizzle or damp conditions. The goal is to knock stuff down and it doesn't need to look as nice as your yard. My limiting factor is if it is to wet, the hills I mow on will be to muddy and I have to wait. I agree the cab is loud and I wear ear plugs in the cab. As far as cooling goes, so far mine has been doing well. Yet, I have been mowing early in the morning and done before noon. So, I have been avoiding the heat of the day. Most of the time my air runs on level 2. I will have to look at my lever, I haven't noticed any light there, but to be honest I have never looked that close. (I remembered I had a picture of that area (I installed a peddle for my diff lock) and yes I could see a little bit of a gap, very small compared to your gap. Mine seals tighter, but your cover is broken there because it should not be that open.) I too have thought about tinting my windows, but have not researched it enough.

Guy that has run both told me in the 100hp range said they John Deere AC was better We have a M7060 kubota and John Deere 5325 cab tractors in the family. The John Deere air conditioner is much better in these two tractors in both these situations here is why. Those kubotas AC is on the steering column the John Deere is in the roof. Some big John Deere have the AC on the column also I think from my experience the roof is just better

I’m on my second Grand L. Current one is a L6060. You want ceramic tint . I like 35% the best . I had to remove all my glass and let the installer tint them and reinstall to get the best job. I live in Alabama and even in the august heat only use setting 2 on ac . It will freeze you. Also always turn recirculating off when in dusty environments it draws in outside air in and pressurizes the cab to prevent dust infiltration.

@@DavidFDay I learned that with my L3540 previous to the l6060. I believe it even states that in the manual somewhere. I do a lot of grass cutting with mine and it stays clean inside. I do replace the cabin air filter at least once a year though as it get really dirty.

Im about to buy a L6060. I thought the recirculation was to cool down the air inside of the cab. I would thnk you would want the recirculating on to prevent pulling in dusty air from outside. Im i wrong here? I have already talked to a tint shop and I also decided on 35% too. Im glad to hear im on the right path here.

In dusty environments leave the recirculating feature off. Sounds backwards but trust me it works to keep dust out of the cab.

I own GL5740HSTC ; bad leg won't let me use left foot brakes. My opinion only, but I would never own a GL or equivalent for my only or primary tractor. We own three farms and we've owned different brands and all main ones are good for the most part; owned a Case and JD lemon, but that can happen. For the kind of mowing you are doing, we started out with a 70HP Case and took it back in a week, just didn't work on our two hill farms and got an 80HP Case 12sp mechanical shuttle. AC worked excellent, but it spent more time in the shop than field, so after a few years, traded it for a Case M8540HDC 12sp hydraulic shuttle and still have it. Our secondary tractors 65 and 72HP are open station, but I developed breathing problems and have to have a cab and N95 mask, so I bought an L5030HSTC then L5740HSTC. I never pull more than a 6' cutter; heavy load really heats up the cab. I live in SE Missouri, hot and HUMID and our ACs are adequate, but I'd like them a bit cooler. I was told the cab needs some ventilation to force air out to keep dust out. I've also been told Sasquatch is real. My 72 year old younger brother drives 9000 Series John Deere tractors and stays plenty cool and can take naps while GPS drives it, but we don't have to pay for them. Check Tractor By Net and they have a lot of good info on compact and sub-compact tractors. Some have used tint as well as heat shielding on the floors and firewall and not just on Kubotas. Good luck.

My Boomer 40 overheats when towing my 72” finish mower after my AC has been on for a while. Not sure why, the grass isn’t tall, my ambient temps are 10-20 deg F lower than yours. Drives me nuts because makes the cab worthless. My cab is relatively quiet. The Grand was on my list. Still is along with the Deere 3046r but when I was looking nothing was available so I settled for a New Holland Boomer 40.

No when I took it into Kubota to be serviced I talk to them about that and there isn’t a replacement part and they said they would have to replace the hole metal piece the seat is mounted to. They don’t care. And it was still under warranty at that time. If I wasn’t 62 and slowing down I would trade it for a different brand. I’ve been with Kubota for 20yrs.

@@DavidFDay it’s a little bit more money, but it will definitely keep the heat out. Regular tint will just make it dark and absorb more heat.

I'm sure it's saqusash. My 'bota L3450 has an AC system that can make you nipples cut glass. I personally rather mechanical 4wd and have heat come thru the linkage hole then have electric 4wd failures.
