@@TractorTech thanks man. Do you have a video on the Hydraulic fluid and filter service on the Kubota L series? I have a L4600DT. I need to do mine. It would be nice to have a video of all the fluid drain and fill locations and grease points too. Thanks for your help

@@lsxjunkie Great request.... I just did my Grand L 3560 400 Hour service that required 2 hydraulic filters, an engine oil filter, full Hydraulic oil changeover, and a fuel filter. That should be up on the Homestead page within the next week or so. Don

Quick question @tractor tech Do you have to add oil to both sides or just one ?

You put oil in one side and it runs over to the other side.

Great Question... I found only 1 fill point and it was on the left (drivers) side of the axle. What I found on my Grand L 3560, the oil would actually pour out of the oil level check point when filling if its not installed. The other issue is that it takes time for the oil to flow from the left side to the right down through the axle. If you check the level before this happens, the level will eventually be lower than it should be. I also used the amount of oil specified from the Service Manual, and while adding that much oil took the level just above the fill level indicator, I was comfortable with that.

So you fill with 80/90? How much does it take?

Yes, I used gear oil. I can't remember the capacity.

Great video. Question: on the HST kubotas, is the front axle fluid separate from rest of the system? So the 80/90 wouldn't mix with the UDT2?

Thanks, the front axle is separate. The fluids from it will not mix with anything else.

@@TractorTech there was a little more than a quart of gear oil in my front end from a new tractor, less than 400 hours. I was a little concerned. I have rad many posts of front axles being low, but not this much.
