Awesome fix! I recommend put a delay so that when you turn on the key it starts the fan after about 5-10 seconds. That way the fan turns on after the unit is on and less drain on the battery since it will be charging when the fan turns on. If you ever put the delay please make a follow up video, would love to see how that turns out.

How about removing the thermostat for more flow?

It'll likely over heat as it doesn't have time to cool down in the radiator.
