Pushing snow with your plow articulated either left or right on a long smooth driveway with about 13in of fluff snow is a zen like experience. Listening to the snow make that sssst noise crashing into the snow off the driveway

Thanks for sharing. I have an RTV 90O with a Curtis plow as well. I plow about 2 miles of farm lane and parking areas here in Lancaster, Pa. It's been a very versatile machine, couldn't be more pleased with it!

Thanks Steve. It is really amazing how well the RTV handles the snow with 23 only horsepower!
@lancastersnowfarmer8 жыл бұрын
+Axiom Excavator Rental 23 hp but the torque is what does the job. Last January we had 32 inches of Snow here and the kubota handled it all except for the six foot drifts. That was a little too much for her. I did take it out on the roads as our local crews had all they wanted from that storm. She did well on the open roads where you can plow at high speed.

Wow, last year we had very little snow in the Hudson Valley so not much plowing. I see that BOSS makes a V plow that looks sweet but the Curtis plow does everything I need so that V plow is just a want. The heat has finally broke so looking forward to the cold snowy weather.

It moves that snow with ease. Looks fun!

Thanks. I would equate it to moving snow as well as a small pick up, like a Toyota Tacoma

There is something about watching somebody plow that's mesmerizing. Wish I were laid up in a nursing home rehabilitating wish I were doing all of that sucks knowing how to do it and not being able to do it used to do it with my eyes closed an expression

That's a beautiful area I'll bet it's as quiet as cat creeping up on it's prey, nothing like snow to silence the world especially in the country serenty at it's finest, i went to the old groasingers in the winter not to long before it closed it was almost surreal.
@Carrotrentals6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter you are right this is a special area. My favorite sound is the sound of snow falling

My honda ripping through the snow with tracks is better. Ill plow circles around your obese kubota 😆

Make sure to get some new gravel delivered in the spring. Plenty of the driveway in the yard now.

Nice machine! I don’t like the size of hoppers for salt tho.

Beautiful area. Stock tires no chains? What does a plow set up run for the RTV? We have a 900, just curious.. also what is it like pulling an RTV on a trailer in snow (you can probably see where I’m going with this idea). We don’t get much snow but just was curious the pulling aspect on a trailer in snow.
@Carrotrentals5 жыл бұрын
Yes stock tires no chains. Never had a traction issue. I think the plow set up from Kubota is about $1,200. I dont think pulling a trailer would be a problem. The only time I get stuck is when the frame gets hung up in the snow. Depending on the snow type, 12 inches of snow will snag on the frame and you will have to dig...

I have the sam kubota and just recently go that snow plow, I got it on correctly and can make it go up and down, but can’t figure out how to move it left and right, what do you use to do that? Thanks

Nice job some of these people make me laugh I’ve plowed snow for over 38 years Dump trucks and Payloaders the plow stays on the ground all times gravel or blacktop if the plow has feet on each end your just gonna grind them down anyways when the frost comes out of the ground then you’ll start diggin in here and there the joys of snow plowing! Lol!

Thats why you get shoes for the plow you dumbass it sets the height just above the stones. But this guy is an idiot gets a baby plow thats thin sheet metal. Should of got the boss sxs plow.
@stevenbyars33845 жыл бұрын
Need to set the plow correctly. Too much gravel moved off the road. It will cost plenty to fix in spring. We have a RTV-900W with a front mounted snowblower. We maintain about 4.5 miles of road and cattle herd feeder access trails in Northern Washington state for the last 10 years with this combo.
@karelvanleer4296 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you pop the chain you're going too fast
@Carrotrentals6 жыл бұрын
Might be the case...Will have to listen for that this winter. Thanks
@hoosierdaddy24685 жыл бұрын
Axiom Excavator Rental so you had tire chains on? The traction seems to kind of struggle in the mud here so far with just stock tires. Wondering if I need some chains for the winter

This guy doesn't know how to plow snow
@Carrotrentals6 жыл бұрын
Agreed I was a rookie then. I do know how to have fun
@sevillianc5 жыл бұрын
For the no pro plowers..why so? Because of the gravel or dirt and needing to raise the plow?
