For grading with the SCL 1000, you can't beat a CMP Hydra Bucket... It is a smooth bucket with the Harley Rake style drum in the back corner... Back drag with the drum bringing the dirt with you in float mode and it does a great job... I have it on my mine and its a time saver... The Kubota buckets were having trouble digging so I purchased a Berlon low profile with weld on teeth and replaceable tips... That too is a day and night difference in digging... It is longer and can carry more material than the 36' Kubota bucket... Maybe one day a will take videos and put them on here...

I would suggest getting a dedicated stump grinder. That's what I did, I'm not a fan of the stump grinder attachment

Hey man, I watched your review on the U17 as well and I’m still not sure which one is best for my first machine. I primarily do hard scape and landscape installs. If you got any advice on which one is best to get first that would be much appreciated!

If your doing hard scaping I would get the mini skid First. You are going to use it to off load materials move materials etc. Then rent the excavator when you need it until you can afford it.

Did you ever get the power issue figured out? I ran one and really liked the controls and comfort but didn’t get to test out the power really.

I got the bobcat MT 100. I thought you said bobcats have lotta issues, yet you’re the one with the issue, that seems like a real issue having the front cylinder not having the power that it should. You should’ve bought the bobcat, I’ve had zero issues with it. It’s a beast. Thanks for the video though.

So since I have one issue with a machine it means immediately I should have a bought a different brand? I don’t care what brand model or make of a machine every once in while some one will get a one that has major issues minor issues or no issues in the beginning. I’m not a fan of the newer bobcat machines solely because of other peoples experience with them. On paper they are good innovative machines but I hear nothing but bad thing about them. The older bobcats I think are fine. There MTs and smaller excavators I think are fine as well but not the best in my opinion. I do think bobcat is innovating a lot with there technology on their machines though. But to each their own.

A big plus is that the Kubota had a Kubota engine just like the bobcat mt100 same engine so why buy bobcat and have to still deal with bobcat getting parts from Kubota

Ditchwitch is best

Yes we have 4 mt100 and only had a few problems around 1900hrs. And that was changing the main belt cuz you need to pull the motor and putting new tracks on it around 800hrs. That’s an all day job with touches more more torches. Yep. The bolt get rusty and it’s a hard job. But over all we love our bobcats and yes I have demo a Kubota and it was way to squirrelly. Almost died. Never used a ditchwitch but heard great things about them.

Your opinion about dealers not being motivated to fix your equipment if you didn't buy from them is completely baseless. Dealers don't make money off the sale, they make money off their service department. So whether they sell you a piece of equipment makes no difference to them if you're bring it in for service. The only issue they may have is if the dealer you bought it from had a special service offer (i.e. oil changes for life) which they won' t honor. The fuel fill is intentional because it gets people to open the hood which will hopefully get them to check the fluids. A lot of machines are like this now. You know the Kubota has a feature where you can load it while not standing on the machine, right?

I just got one a few months ago and I love it. In my opinion, it is the best designed mini skid on the market. Although not the most powerful. I work on my own equipment so the fact that the engineering had mechanics in mind makes me feel like the purchase was worth it
