Almost five years ago I found this mixtape... It's carried me through so many tough times. You can probably find my comments from those times on here. I guess I come back annually. Almost to pay homage to the vibe that carried me through the darkest period of my life...and I wouldn't have come back unless I was feeling that dread again. It takes me back through the several episodes, sagas, and arcs of anxiety and depression I have had while listening to this. Walking in the rain, drowning out my liver with whiskey, shivering cold in my evicted apartment I broke back into for shelter, discovering I could love only to hurt, leaving for rehab and coming back to my mother dying. There's so many damn things that haunt me, so many damn things that circle around in my mind. Despite it all I find some balance in the Universe from time to time, and within Kudasai I've found a type or a vibe I can realistically cling to whenever I hear it. This album has just been a constant for me Kuda, I wish you could know how much it means to me that you've made such beautiful music. I know this is STEEZY's channel but...That's how I feel. What is life without pain? What is shine without rain? Flowerless

That pain inside.....knowing she's with another. One who wasn't worth the love she has to give. Love is oh so tangible, sometimes it's such a mess. What could have turned out for the worst, could turn out for the best. Maybe the Universe redirects us to protect us. Maybe expectations aren't as important as our own behavior and attitudes towards situations. Maybe she will find her happiness.... I know confusing a season for a lifetime has left me empty-handed, and who knows...maybe one day, when I'm far away she'll come back to me. Hard to think though it may be too late for her, maybe she doesn't come back at all though. All I know is there's too much life to live, and heartbreak doesn't last forever. Time changes people, people don't change time however. It passes you by whether you want it to or not. Spending it wasting away your own self-worth, telling yourself you're not enough isn't a good way to spend it though. Maybe....it wasn't you weren't enough. Maybe it was just bad timing. Maybe it was just exactly how the Universe intended it to be. There is a silver lining in almost everything. She isn't the only person waiting out there for you, she may not be waiting at all....so live. It will be alright.
