Yes I think the Zendokai founder was once a member of Daidojuku (Kudo)and broke away to start his own organization.

I got a question. Can you do a class structure breakdown? I want to run a school similar to Kudo. I'd love to know how much time you spend on each aspect, and how you fit in so much sparring.

Hi sensei! I am very interested in Kudo, but I am not great in finding out information on it. Do you mind sharing what types of throws and takedowns are forbidden as I am wondering if traditional wrestling moves are allowed or frowned upon? Also thank you so much for sharing your work with us!
@kudoista Жыл бұрын
Hello. Most throws and takedowns are allowed. Kani basami( leg scissors) and suplexes are the only forbidden throws that I am aware of. Slamming someone to the ground when you are in their guard or caught in an arm bar etc is also not allowed. Basically Any throw or submission that can easily injure a persons neck is frowned upon. It’s always been something of a gray area for me.

Arigatou gozaimashita for your sharing Sensei. Is there any way to contact you on mail or through something else? I want to ask some questions on what I can do to bring this style to my country that does not have it yet. What would be best options to become an instructor or to bring the style to ones country. What procedures. I would love to have a person like you as a mentor or teacher. Currently I live in scandinavia and would love to have this type of training here.. But i just dont know how.. Best regards. Morris

Thank you for your interest. I’m afraid I’m not sure on what would be the best options for someone in your situation. You could try contacting the Daidojuku HQ. www.daidojuku.com/

Hi Sensei, how are you first? As you told me last time here is your video. The ability to create angles, which you mention, especially turning outwards, I really like it as I move close to my opponent keeping me out from his countering, be safe and at the same time I can attack. Very good also in terms of self-defense. I have seen something similar with the work on tai-sabaki in karate-ashihara, haven't it? Changing a little bit the speech, a question: have you ever practiced the sanchin and tensho breathing kata typical of kyokushin? Do you think they are a good in conditioning and strengthening the muscles of your body as well as the abdominal exercises, push-ups and planks? What is your opinion about it. Thanks again for everything! See you. Bye, OSU!

Hello, I’m getting better. The finger is almost completely recovered and a torn calf muscle is also nearly healed. So I will be able to step up the training level again soon. I haven’t practiced Sanshin or Tensho. But I believe breath work is a valuable tool. Have you read Rickson Gracie’s book breathe? It’s an interesting read.
