This series and HxH has the most inner monologue out of all the battle shoenn series I've watched. That means the characters are actually thinking and using their heads without any needless shouting; which is lethal in a real battlefield.

​@@kyoma6659Spoilers for episode 4-6 I'm giving it to agent Amatori, that meteor bomb changed everything, and she was able to do it again unnerved. Hyuse did well in engaging Ko and that Suzanari guy and hiding his abilities, but he also had Kugas support. During the match, Hyuse continually mentions about all his mis-reads which caused him to lose out on a bunch of points. The decision at the end I also fault on Hyuse, he shouldn't have split up in the mall, thankfully he barely adverted the worst case scenario with a lucky hit on Asama - they explain that he made a mistake because of his pride, best decision would have either been to keep up the 2v1 attack or go with kuga to protect chika to force the other teams retreat. Kuga, just does more of the usual, win every round so he doesn't count. Osamu- If it wasn't for his indecision at the end of the match I think I would have given him the Star simply based on his under performing previous matches. He communicated really well with the team keeping everybody in check, and that decision of changing the plan on Hyuse suggestion led to a good result early on. But the second time this occurs, Osamu wavers and can't come up with a solution, Kuga is forced to make the call.

That's why Kuga is the Ace n Hyuse isn't. Because Kuga is better

​@Lardnuts not better but more experienced. While Hyuse was considered a prodigy and taught by the best fighter in his world, Kuga and his dad worked as mercenaries and were constantly diving into wars. It's like 1 kid got 💯 on theoretical and the other in physical

@@JabJabBinks That would make sense too, just having the raygust for anything, shield or blade was part of Murakami's plan.

I mean technically if he wanted to materialze a second raygust (aka recall his first I'm pretty sure), he should have done it the instant after it connected with Osamu. I do think it was a reaction to his kogetsu missing, which is why he only materializes it later actually now that i think of it, I suspect he would have survived that encounter had he recalled Raygust earlier. or at least delayed longer whirlwind Kuga, and it's easier to react to getting rotated if you already have your shield out

@@xanderlastname3281 recalling raygust would have taken too long as kuga and hyuse would have killed him before it formed. Also, he couldn't have formed raygust as whirlwind requires 2 triggers to activate

From the wiki (Hense why you can use Whirlwind with two kogetsu's out) I assume it interacts with Raygust the same way And based on the slo-mo shot of raygust reforming, he 100% would have had enough time to recall the entire raygust had he done it before his Whirlwind

@@johhatomii2691 I wouldn't say thought process, more like there both are battle harden by war. Given they are use to the battlefield because where there from. Seems Hyuse know what the team was lacking ( a second good attacker ) and he plays his role very well.

They did train a bit before this match. But yeah, they're 2 really good skilled fighters, the result is insane for the amount of time of training

@@Akillez True. It was way more about Hyuse finding and getting used to his trigger combination. But if I remember well, Kuga sayed they were in sync before the match. So I tought he trained a bit with Kuga before the match. Which make it even more unbelievable. I can't wait to see more

Couldn’t be a more accurate representation on suzunari 1. Ko solos the the project. Kuruma makes the opening and conclusion and the other guy makes the group text. Ko doesn’t complain cause they’re his friends probably

Well he is their ace. Aces are the ones who get the points, the others support by giving him openings and not being in their way. The defeat in Suzunari 1 was Ko fault, the captain said to do as much damages as possible in the beginning and they did, however Ko protecting his captain when he is against two, that is not strategically thinking, his appreciation towards his captain is truly admirable but that blind his judgment of the situation

@@born2run121 You could theoretically beat him with a move he's seen before. You just need to fill him up with a significant amount of moves such that he is unable to predict which move is next anyways. It's a much worse plan than just coming up with new moves, but it does mean you could beat him with a move that you already tried once.

The characters are ALWAYS thinking out of the box, it gets me every single time. Taichi messing with the fuse box was so clever, unexpected and in-character for him. I love this series so much.

That's the case with a lot of top-tier B-rank squads. Most of their aces are along the top fighters, but due to circumstances they paired up with weaker team members.

@@germsspices Sometimes working with other A-rank doesnt make you better, this anime definitely show that teamwork > solo. It is especially show earlier in the epsiode, Ko would not gain the advantage against Kage, if 1) Tachi didn't use the light switch on/off tactic, and Tatsuya didn't make the tactic of double shotgun, with Ko using shield.

yea the show is super underrated and has only gotten better with the recent seson 2 and 3. the first 3 episode are a bit boring so it can be hard to start. the fights are where it really shins.

The rigid yet customizable power system makes for very interesting skill expression among the wide cast while still remaining simple. It's this factor that makes the payoff of understanding the fights so satisfying.

The previous episode demonstrated how smart and badass he is, i absolutely liked him

U wont regret it. Criminally underrated show with amaZing fights and lovable characters. The first (long) season is a bit bloated w/ skippable recap and exploring different characters through the fights, but it all comes together when ur watching 4-way chess with no turns and u know every players’ fighting style and motivation

Gets a big animation upgrade in season 2
