When Xing Zhi came out of the ruined abyss, I wailed😭and Mofang really broke my heart in the end, he was just brainwashed... I really liked this series, especially Xing Zhi's character. He had an actual personality which is rare in these types of shows. I will definitely add it to my yearly drama rewatch.

both main leads were crazy for each other totally, earlier xing zhi froze the whole damn east sea to find her and here in this episode shen li is threatening the heaven emperor to burn down their whole nine heaven for xing zhi really, match made in heaven both were tough yet soft for each other that they can go to any extent for the other one.

In whole episodes fenglai is more miserable than main couple he lose his beloved wife after long waiting moreover he didn't even have time to hug his daughter and called him and can't even hear "dad" word from his daughter. He sacrifice his whole life for three realms , his life is more miserable than xingzhi.

Fenglai does have a short and sad life. I think his great love is his wife. Anything else I think he had very little understanding. He grew quickly so I don’t think he understands what family love is. He sacrificed his life for Shenli because he heard his wife loves their daughter. When he rescued his daughter, in the novel, he simply say something like “on the behalf of your mother, live on”. The drama make it more dearing between father and daughter. In regards to two men, ML life before Shenli is very lonely. I still don’t know how truly old he is. Fenglai was sad but shorter misery. 1000 vs 10000

Tear jerker. This is how a happy ending should be written. Not rushed. Li is gorgeous. Xingzhi grayish white hair looks otherwordly on him. Fantastic production.

I've already rewatched this series 4times? 5times? Still, that first act makes my heart wrench. Those two really put their soul into that certain scene. And I've also watched the bts, it's amazing how they pull that one off, so that they can give us the best we can get.

Okay. I FINALLY understand the hairpin shot at 18:41. Kept wondering about it because it’s not the gold dart that he gave her…just realized now that it’s his jade pin that she took and placed herself. Btw, according to a run down of the novel this is based on, his third and final wish was that she give him as many children as there are grapes in a cluster. 😊

Well if they had done it more than once he could’ve had them. However since he’s immortal and she’s spirit he could literally pump her belly full of babies every time. She could have twins, triplets, and quads each event. Those children would be powerful.

I think this is Shen Li's best acting so far. I could almost feel her intensity while defending his body from the Immortal Lord. Also, I was blown away by her smile when she saw the grapevine shed....didn't know she knew how to smile.

Wow, there are adverts now! Glad I've already seen it all before the adverts started. This is one of the best scenes of the entire series. She’s absolutely so shattered at his death. She’s seriously unwilling to let him go even at the slightest provocation. She won’t even let go of his hand even when she’s exhausted. She seems to fear he’ll disappear if she lets go. Even at her Master’s arrival she still holds onto his hand even when she finally passes out. Hers and Xing Zhi’s love transcends everything.

EP38 is indeed very tragic having the conflict circumstances, but at the end the lead characters revelations of their feelings for each other finally happened. Very romantic indeed. You can just feel the warmth of that admiration from the scenes when their both together. "What is the use of life without love and love without you'... That kind of thing really...

@@maichavang92 Without Xing Zhi's helping in waking his god head and giving him access to the purifying power in that one life, he would likely continue being stuck between the two women. Maybe those two women weren't the true love he was supposed to have met. Xing Zhi told him while he still had his godhead to look to find his true love and maybe that will help him. Since it looked like he walked away from the two women, maybe there's someone else and he finally realized it? 🤨🤔

Being and Ancient Deity Xing Zhi is different. He was created by the Way of Heaven as a tool eons ago. He was the last to come into being as Deities would no longer be needed in the long run. They were given emotions because the Way of Heaven wanted them to fall as a self-clean up mechanism. Some lived their full long lifespan and became a bit of energy between heaven and earth sharing the lifespan of the universe, others fell in love like his best friend that ended up being punished into endless mortal reincarnation and to forever miss his lover. Regular mortals, demons from the Spirit Realm and Immortals from Heaven can reincarnate, have an afterlife. Xing Zhi if he became part of heaven and earth would never reincarnate or resurrect normally. He's the only Ancient Deity that was different from the rest. Otherwise, Shen Li would only have had his corpse and not even that if Heavenly Immortal had his way and burned his body with that special fire.

Drama was OK. A solid 8.2/10. A few things I didn't like. Let's see if you agree. I'm not liking how he got 'revived' by the powers of all the previous Gods. That just doesn't make sense. Didn't all those Gods already perish? Felt forced. And this drama lacks 2nd/3rd lead relationships. Would have been a more interesting. (There were times when it got a little boring) I didn't like how she never called him 'dad' even though he sacrificed for her. I didn't like how he didn't recognize it was his own daughter since they were the only two phoenixes. I didn't like how she was rescued from East Sea when story would have been better if she actually fell and he finds her after freezing the entire sea. I didn't like how they had sex but didn't have a child. (As we know, in these movies, all it takes is just one time!) I didn't like how their time in the human realm was so short. They could have spent a few more episodes there, further strengthening their relationship. I didn't like how she didn't even look at, or forgive Mu Fong (her friend/partner since childhood) even though he sacrificed himself right in front of her. I didn't like how she killed the evil black-smoke guy so easily with one simple squeeze of her hand. That's all I can think of now.

I agree with most of the things you mentioned. especially the part that she didn't even try to acknowledge her dad and didn't show any emotion when he sacrificed himself for her. She didn't forgive Mu Fong at his final moment. Yes, he hurt many, but he saved her countless times.

They have children in the novel. At least 3, twins and a baby on the way. I don't know why they cut that part too. But the novel is kinda short, but somehow the script writer give more details in the series since she's also the author. Even though some parts are still different between screenplay and the origin. And I do agree, they should've extended a few more episodes. But, as far as I knew, it's China. They're very strict. A series mustn't longer than 40episodes. Or around that.

@@DevoneBrieWie_8797Amrn I can see why they omitted or changed from stuff from the novel but still wish they were able to have more than 40 episodes. 50 sounds like a good number to me. 😂 I would have loved to see Xing Zhi and Shen Li get married. I wanted to see the happily ever after hi-jinx of planning for the wedding etc and sh!t happening while they try to plan. Can you imagine Shen Li having as many kids as a bunch of grapes? My top 3 movies with Zhao Liying are Princess Agents, The story of Minglan and Our Glamorous time! Highly recommend them.. I like this one, but still doesn't compare to her acting in Princess Agents! POV only
