Obviously both have their strengths and weaknessess but Skarmy is more for units like pekka or mini pekka. Gang is for air and ground thanks to spear goblins plus they are less vulnerable to zap since stab goblins survive it. Of course both are great cards for dealing with single target units

you know the placement is a lot more complicated then just placing it in front of the princess tower. . . you're supposed to try and kite the tanks AWAY not just lead them straight towards your tower.
