The Kumbhalgarh Fort and the Ranakpur Jain Temple are two nearby amazing places, convenient to visit on a combined daytrip.
Kumbhalgarh Fort is the second largest fort in Rajasthan. It was built in the 15th century and is one of the six forts included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Hill Forts of Rajasthan".
The Ranakpur Jain Temple was constructed in the 15th century and is famous for its intricate architectural style. It has 1444 marble pillars, all carved in exquisite detail, each pillar with unique carvings.
Recorded January 2018 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX100.

I don't know why the Ranakpur Temple is not a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built over 600 years ago. For a building that old , it is a stellar accomplishment.

@Arid Its Eurocentric org with inherent bias in selection of UNESCO sites thats the reason most of it is Europe and North America. Asian countries have lot of other historical and cultural sites that are much older and beautiful than some listed sites that don't even come close to these sites. The World Heritage Committee is based out of Paris, France. It has held 42 annual sessions till now, with a 43rd in 2019 . Of these, 3 have been held in Africa and Australia each, 4 in North America, 5 in South America, 6 in Asia, and 22 in Europe. In fact, Paris has hosted the annual committee meetings more time than any of the other continents (9). And this does have an impact on the selection in that year. In 1997, the France was the host of the extraordinary session. In that year, 46 new heritage sites were added to the list, of which 10 were in the host country of France. There are many things wrong with the way the committee is selected, the process by which nominated sites are shortlisted, the distribution of sites by region and culture, and so on. There are 4 times as many cultural sites than natural, which favors Europe as opposed to Asia since the Renaissance movement in the Middle ages is studied and discussed far more than it should be, while more ancient cultures like Egypt, India, China are usually glossed over . Both China and India alone hold more than many cultural sites but only few are listed unlike Europe. The Asia Pacific region is home to half the world’s population but only makes up 23% of the sites Whereas Europe with 10% of the world’s population claims to be home to more than 40% of the world’s cultural hotspots It’s the age-old question of “who watches the watchmen?”.

There are at least few 100 temples in South India with Dravidian architecture, they are not even in UNESCO's watch list. What's shocking is India only ranks 6th, China 5th, that's 2/7 of world's population with 5000 year+ continuous history overtaken by some 500 year old countries.

indian culture wayyy back had an amazing high technology to cut stone and form it, nowhere else have i seen the level of fine work in the smallest details, holes in hard granit, that measure 1-2 millimeters, are decorative features in many tempels, and they also had a funktion to lead water away...this kind of work can only be done with hightech tools, india is truly amazing

To be honest: Yes, I watch TV. BUT: 85% documentations, 10% news, and 5% movies. So, your advice is good in core, but can't touch me ;). Also I think, the truth is in the middle of what Milosh shows in his absolutely perfect videos and the slums. I know south-east Asia quite good and I recognized a deep gap between both sides in reality. So I already saw in my "eyes of presence" a lot - but sadly not India.
