Thank you so much for sharing this. I have seen some Kumeyaay bird songs performed before, but I have never seen the men dancing in front of the singers as they are here. Beautiful to see so many young men here participating in their native culture! Thank you!

What does the bird song symbolize? Why is it important? How does it feed the spirit?
@boboelliott7626 жыл бұрын
Joles0 it's the kumeyaay philosophy of Life telling stories and experiences to come and how to deal with them what to expect with them how to live in balance with them

I'm looking for someone that can speak kumeyay and possibly translate something into English. Do you know of anyone?
@lensperspective97533 жыл бұрын
A Baja Cali kumeyaay born in America, here, which means the tribe doesn't give a fuck about us, us who speak more of the language, have more of the culture, and practices. I feel like a slaves' slave. I'm lower than a native american, yet have more native than some natives on some Rezs do, but it doesn't matter, I dont even want to money. I just want the support and family. I cant live in Cali or with the kumeyaay because of how much money it is, I cant go back to Baja cause of all the changes and coming events, and now i live in Nevada and now I may be disenfranchised again because of soaring prices on houses people moving to Nevada. No room for the natives/ long time locals, and these people moving in claim to be politically correct. What a circus, what a circus
