I always love it when experts from different styles train and learn from each other. For example, I train in traditional Chinese martial arts and I cross train with a couple of friends who train in MMA, and we always learn from each other and compare notes. For example, I love their reaction speed because they always spar and they love seeing me do hand techniques on a concrete wall from my decades of iron palm training. Their take downs and ground game are better than mine, but they can't compare to us with small joint manipulation. One big thing that I have learned from working with MMA fighters is that they are really great open minded people who are willing to learn. The only arrogant people are the ones behind a keyboard.

You’re the man. A mystery man. I always see you commenting on all the same traditional KF and CLF vids I watch but damn is it always a pleasant surprise

it annoys me how tamotsu always punishes his helpers bit too much.

I would love to hear more from you! How is your tiger claw, do you train it as well? What kung fu styles do you practice

@@Dolph-Face Hi there! I train in Choy Li Fut and Chen Tai Chi. I never tried tiger claw. I've sparred against those guys, and I really have to watch out for their rakes, they really hurt.

@@blockmasterscott are you on any social media? I personally love tiger claw for attacking pressure points in grappling situations where they are extremely inconspicuous, although my grip is nowhere near where it could be, if attacking pressure points in the neck or ribs I can still escape most holds and locks without even using much force. I also train a little bit of Choy Lay Fatt! Mostly a form called “Sup Ji Kau Da” that my Sifu learned when he was a young child, he forgets what specific lineage this Choy lay Fatt form is from, and I haven’t been able to find this exact variation in other schools since, nevertheless it is extremely useful for us and a very interesting contrast to our Lai Tung Pai Kung Fu, which visually looks like a cross between Wing Chun & Southern Shaolin.
If you start by politely approaching You might even get something back to use. But if you start with bullying, you won't get anything in return. I have a lot of respect for this mma fighter. I feel like he's polite and ready to learn something new.
The "respect" towards each other and honor of the arts is most present in these athletes that it shames many others who dishonor one another with ego and trash talking. I have much respect for these men in this video. Most honorable examples to all of us. 👍
