Riiiight. But the story and dialogue IS for kids, so.... deal with it. lol this is not for adults. It's for kids, period. The medium is irrelevant. The genre is CHILDRENS MOVIE. lolol people try so hard. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, but get real and grow up. Sheesh.

Don't listen to anyone who tries to gatekeep you from watching anything you want. The more you watch, the more your mind opens to different perspectives. Those people who DON'T watch any animation is missing out on some of the best story telling ever that cannot be done in live action. Studio Ghibli is one, with Spirited Away, Totoro, Nausica and the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, and Kiki's Delivery Serivce. And if you want something heavy, Graveyard of Fireflies. And even Pixar movies Inside Out, Soul, Up, Coco, I just can't believe those people ignore a whole medium all because they've categorized all animation to be for kids. That's rubbish. Japanese anime movies are awesome.

the turtle told him the prisoner would escape, so he sent the bird. it was the bird's feather the prisoner then uses to escape. if the turtle had not told him the prisoner would escape, he would not have sent the bird. If he didn't send the bird there would be no feather for the prisoner to use to escape

I'll never understand why people think animated movies are only for children. A good story is a good story, and it's not like live action is somehow more "real." It's just a different way of presenting a narrative.

Cause animations are rarely for adults. They are mostly made with children in mind. And tend to be or contain childish moments. Of course, it's not just animations that has this, but if you were to take all animations and all movies you would see a trend and an obvious preferred viewer group

I think it's because the bad animation like Illumination gets so much more popular and widespread than the good animation that since only kids are entertained by, the adults base their opinion on all of animation on that

I am 31 and most of my movies are animated. Kung Fu Panda is one of my favorite series, maybe my favorite animated movie series. The Panda from Goose thing is explained in number 2. My favorite moment is when Shifu says "It is not your destiny to face Tai Lung it is his!!!!......... Where did he go?"

Fun fact: When this was made it was one animator per character, nobody else could work on their character. That ensured that the animation always looked the same.

There's many things to love about this movie but the advice Po's dad gives to him about just believing in yourself is exactly what the ancient scroll represented. That the knowledge is really an old generation lesson to be given to the new generation. It's great how they tie so many parts of the story together.

I'm 42, and still love animated movies. I grew up on Disney movies. I still watch The Nightmare Before Christmas every Halloween and Christmas. Kung Fu Panda is an amazing movie. I still go back to watch old animated movies too, like The Sword in the Stone. The really old ones are hand painted and still look better than a lot of current ones. In fact, I still watch Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s and 90s on Tubi. It's free, and there are a good amount of them, and even older ones.

Master Shifu (the character you asked about) is a Red Panda aka Lesser Panda. He is voiced by Dustin Hoffman. The Turtle - Master Oogway was my favorite character too. I love this movie, and I really love the snippets of Eastern Wisdom.

Tofu is made from dried soy beans that are rehydrated, crushed and the resulting mash boiled to the proper consistency. Not easy to make right, I understand. Master Oogway is too cool. Don't mess with him. Crane is played by David Cross. Tai Lung is a Snow Leopard and is played by Ian McShane. Who also played the manager of The Continental in John Wick.

Kung Fu panda is one of my favorite animated movie series, just a solid story with some great feels and an amazing voice cast. Back in the 70s and maybe 80s they made inflatables like that punching dummy. Bozo the Clown was one style but there were others. You could hit it and it would come back up. Perhaps the most fun thing about it was that it scared the dogs and you could set it up just so that when people walked in a room it would scare them too. When Po was trying to get to his room that night, it was like they had nightingale floors. These were a kind of alarm built into the floor. If you stepped on it it would squeek loudly. People who lived there would know where they were and could avoid them but intruders wouldn't know.

If I remember correctly Jackie Chan was the voice for the monkey and this movie also shows that a good teacher finds a way to reach his students. Because each student is different they don't learn the same way some students learn faster than others and some need a bit more one on one training
