idk why I feel this movie is great just because of these 2 scenes, these two scenes made it unparallel to any other films. One is when that girl speaks sign language to him reminding the old memories and the other one is this one. such a masterpiece these two romantic scenes.. touches my heart every time whenever I watch it.. it can be best film ever just for these two scenes.

Words cannot describe the greatness of this Movie. There are many filmmaker who can make very good movie. Like Christopher nolan, steven Spielberg , raju hirani , anurag Kashyap. But there is a special kind of magic in Stephen Chow movies , his movie has simplicity which is described very beautifully and top notch humour and heart touching emotions, that's why he is my FAVOURITE. I want to meet him personally once in my life

Credit must also go to the composer of this song. Mr Liu Jia Chang. He composed it and many other great Mandopop hits in the 1960s/70s era. A genius but kind of eccentric . Given his huge talent , he should be very rich but he isnt Thats bcos he isnt money-minded and used to allow other recording artistes who approached him for permit to perform his songs for free. . Old now but he is still alive . The chinese music industry should award this great music veteran the highest accolades for his contribustions before he goes.

I first watched this movie as a teenager when it came out, and enjoyed it a lot as a funny slapstick martial arts movie. Now I'm in my thirties, have a daughter, and this movie means something totally different to me. Whenever I see the lollipop girl I think of my daughter (who even looks a bit like her), and it makes me tear up thinking about what if it was my daughter being bullied, but finding happiness in the end.

Chinese music Instruments are very soulful. It is really impossible for an Hollywood movie to represent such emotions and romance without kissing touching, hugging. That is why we are called East --From with love India.
