Checking out a project we did a few months ago where our customer was wanting artificial turf. I gave her three reasons why kurapia is better than artificial turf. We went with the kurapia.

I am planning on replacing dead lawn. How do you prep the ground and plant these? Are these available in plant tiles or individual plants? Are these gofer proof?

We get it in rolls of sod and it holds up against gophers because it can self repair from damage!

How do you tell the difference between Kurapia and native phyla nodiflora? I live in the native region, and I want the native version that is not sterile and supports local wildlife.

Kurapia is tighter knit together and lower growing to the ground. Kurapia is non invasive, hardier and better adapted to be a lawn.

We live in Las Vegas and are considering replacing our grass with kurapia. Would you happen to know if kurapia is good for our area?

I know the key selling point of Kurapia is it's drought tolerance, but can it survive heavy rainfall. It seems like a perfect fit for areas of Texas that have been hit by drought but this year have seen months with as much as six inches of rain in April and May.?

It can take heavy rain but not snow.

Native phyla nodiflora is perennial and will come back after snow.

Will it be ok for Central California? Usually highs in the low 100’s, down to low 30’s in the winter. Occasionally a little hotter and a little colder but not too often. Low rainfall

Fyi...I love my new white blended with the new pink together...but it DOES need regular edging !! And this layout shown obviously will as well...

how much water does Kurapia require?

Once established, Kurapia only needs water 1-2x per month!

I would definitely refrain from calling it maintenance free. If you don’t do any edging and you left it for a year, that entire yard would be covered. Even large paver borders, let alone metal edging, will get overrun by kurapia.
