I think it is seen as a slight coz Kurapika was all dressed up in women's clothing. But I think Chrollo was trynna gain confirmation that the chain user was infact a guy, who's capable of going through so much trouble to get him. I think it is to judge his character and see how he can manipulate his way out this mess while collecting enough info to get back at Kurapika at a later date.
