PeakxPeak! This fight is so freaking cool yet tragic for Kurapika who killed for the first time. I true descent into the revenge path. His ability can seem OP but as he said "I spent too much time in that state" so he cannot stay too long like this. It was meant specifically for the Phantom troupe, that's why his power is so effective against them. Great reaction, keep going!

This is one of my favorite chapters. I expected it a lot. In a way, Togashi always intersperses his protagonists. In this arc, there is no doubt that Kurapika is the protagonist, and in fact, in the current arc of the manga he is again. Kurapika's story and development captivated me from the first moment I saw him, even when each time, he broke my heart more. Uvo's death is necessary, but extremely painful. Kura is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal, but that does not mean that he is not reluctant or repulsed by killing. For Kurapika, killing is not the same as it is for Killua or even Gon. That is why his breakup begins here, something that he is willing to suffer, since he has put his life on the line. Even so, it's sad, because he doesn't have a heart of stone, Kurapika is a kind, noble and sweet person. On the other hand, speaking of his ability, it is clear that it is crazy, it has a lot of conditions, but that is why it is even more effective. I was personally shocked the first time I saw him using Emperor Time, and confirmed that he would always be my favorite character, although this has more to do with him as a character than his ability.

I've been waiting for this episode since my last comment on ur channel months ago haha. I too, felt that Kurapika is d main character d 1st time I watch it. He's my fave and I really love that he's d main character again in the current manga. Unfortunately, his last chain was only revealed in the current manga. Can't wait for u to read it, I hope u will. Don't know if ur a manga reader but I hope I get to see ur reaction to it one day especially the special manga about his backstory. Love from the Philippines ❤

Actually in the manga clearly said, but in the anime was never. The power of each members of the Troupe, even among original members, they knew only the surface of each, but in-depth, it's only neutral for each of them to hide their power from each person. That's Nen User's way of life. And, Kurapika's Emperor Time, was the Specialist ability. So, it was able to use only when he was in the Scarlet Eyes state, since the Scarlet Eyes was the unique circumstance and condition for him. And the power is allow him to use each of other five Nen Categories as effectively as original user. But it doesn't mean that he can always use it, unless his eyes turn scarlet. So essentially, he is still only Conjurer Nen User.

This is such a fantastic episode, glad you enjoyed it, it also has a lot of foreshadowing. And ye the Gon vs Hisoka fight is the first "big" nen fight but this one is the first with actual stakes and obviously a better/bigger display of what a nen fight looks like. You picked up all the important aspects of this ep, let me just add that this also shows that having more nen or being stronger is not what decides a fight between nen users, the fact everyone has their own ability makes the match-ups really cerebral and the less the opponent knows your ability the better. Let me just add that this arch is just starting 😅
