The main problem with GK are its consumables, it has terrible health retention with its 8 second damage control and 2 heals base while the majority of german battleships have a 15 second damage control duration and 3 heals base Its sonar only lasts 60 seconds while the majority of sonars last 90-120 seconds (sonars with comparable range i must add) And its secondaries, they are intended to be used because they all pen 32mm and have a good firing capacity but are terribly hindered due to their terrible accuracy and mediocre range. This ship is outclassed in different playstyles by every other ship, its supposed to be jack of all trades but sucks at everything but its sheer size and crudeness

Don’t count out the secondaries on go. The 128s pen 32 mm. So if they hit anything other than main belt, they will pen. Only problem is scliffen exists and has longer range secondaries and more of them. And legendary tier is just full of back line Bettie’s afraid of scratching their paint or shimmies hiding just out of spotting range.

I run my GK with Hipper at the helm for accuracy build but spec the ship with both secondary mods. Seems to work rather well much better than the usual brawler build for this ship. Wish WG would show it a little loving it kinda needs it.

Maybe a potential buff for G.K in the near future

I’m always surprised it’s rated so low compared to other LT BBs. It can feel clunky and you will get targeted if you push to far early, but GOs guns never fail me. Shockingly accurate for a German BB.

Me personally I prefer the 420 mm guns and that’s because I want the little extra damage. Also that Gearing is a little cigarette.

GK is still my favorite LT BB for a lot of reasons. People also sleep on the HE, which can easily burn down annoying nose-in bots if you just sit at range angled.

I've got a 406" build with 21.3 sec reload. Horrid accuracy but close range the faster reload works well.

I can’t lie, I have close to 500games in GK and I’ve NEVER used the 406s but after seeing the accuracy I might have to make the switch. How much less pen do the 406s have compared to the 420s?

Im super bummed that i wont be able to afford ohio. With lenin i grinded 19k ice tokens and to get to 25k for it it xosted me 70 bxuks in crates. And since ohio is legendary it will cost more then 3 triple aaa games
