This is like the fifth reactor I’ve seen that never mentioned that on MCGWires verse the z-move scene matched perfectly with, “Z-move, finna hit my shot.” They used the ghost or dark type z-move for the animation and it matched up perfectly

For absol, you where almost perfect, he brings natural disaster not simply doom, For the Fallinks bar form Shwabadi, Fallinks' signature move is No Retreat, where he get's buffed, but you can't switch him out until the battle is finished so round after round after round. More subtle bar by Shwabadi, the black cab is a reference to how in the Galar region the taxis are transported by Corvoknight, a black bird (there is probably more to it, but it's what I got). The glock hammered lock and stowed on side is a reference to 2 locations in Galar: Hammerlock and Stow-on-side as a gun bar.

just one correction. Absol doesn't bring disaster or doom but is almost always present when disaster or doom are coming, so it is a sign that something is about to happen. Absol's design is a reflection of the sphinx, which would exchange knowledge for knowledge and it is also similar to western visualisation of Death (which is related to destiny and disaster) with the scythe and the oval on its head is similar to a 3rd eye. The wings of Mega Absol further suggest a link with the sphinx as well as a fallen angel.

Paul was an asshole, but he was the best written rival character in all of the Pokemon anime. He pushed Ash to grow as a trainer and was a constant threat. His presence can't be understated.

Being an Absol is actually kind of sad because in the Pokemon world people believe that an absol's presence is what brings a disaster when in reality the Abol is able to sense a disaster coming and it goes to try and warn people but because humans can't understand what Pokemon are saying they think that the absol's are the ones bringing the disaster

Adding: Lick was the ONLY Ghost move in Gen 1 that did damage (except Nightshade but that is level based), and was unable to hit psychic types at all.

The rival's canon name is Silver and he has the goal of being the best trainer and refuses to accept anything else. His other goal is to take Team Rocket down because he despises them. So when the Player character is the one to take Team Rocket down, it's not who was expected to as Silver was meant to take down Team Rocket and his father Giovanni. Which is humiliating that a random kid managed to take down a criminal organisation, and stopped Silver from achieving his goal. The line in Mat4yo's verse about the static sprites hits the jokes about the quality of pokemon in gen 5 being mediocre and also gen 5 was part of the beginning of animated sprites in the games. Correction to you saying the alolan marowak is dark type (it's a fire/ghost type cos it's a fire dancer). The Wishiwashi line is about the fact that the big version is when it's schooling (its ability) but it's actually tiny. Shwabadi's verse was full of references. The "Glock’s hammer’s locked, I keep it stowed on side" line references two towns in the games, Hammerlocke and Stow-on-Side. The Corsola line was about how if you've got the jewels he would kill you. The Falinks bar was backed up by the sounds of a stein being slammed into a table. Really enjoyed watching the reaction.
