This anime has a hella deep story for a sports anime...definitely would watch

This anime actually incorporates some moves from the NBA, and some of the characters are also based on NBA players.

Kuroko was first than Haikyuu but i think theyre from the same studio. Personally i prefer Kuroko more♡

As a fellow basketball lover I can already say you will love this and fun fact, the main character voice actor is also the one who sing the opening 6 (Kensho Ono) and I find that super cool ^^

I used to play competitive basketball when I was a teen, so this anime has a special place in my heart x3. Its not just some moves that you will recognize, its also that alot of the smaller movements, jumps, ball controle, that are so well done and true to how it is done in real life. One impressive thing is that also rules and regulations are usually correct to real life sports. For example, I never understood nor liked tennis, until a friend of mine told me to watch the anime Prince of Tennis. From that anime I learned all the rules of the court, both single and doubles rules. I started to appreciate and even like tennis. (its also a amazing anime in its own right with its own style) So when Kuroko No Basket came out I instantly got hooked, now I am watching haikyuu since I also used to play Volleyball both recreational and competitive.

Kuroko no Basket was my first ever Sport anime and I was a little nervous at the beginning bc i didnt know if I like sports Anime but its one of my fav genre now 😂 but my fav will forever be Haikyuu bc I love the Characters more and I just learnd that I love Volleyball now 😂 But Kuroko no Basket has a special place in my heart

The girl is the coach. The rival teams are the ones with colored hair that aren't the main blue one and the big dude with red hair(they are the protagonists). You see all the colored hair guys in the same team only in the opening 6 because it's the past, Kuroko used to be on the same team with them but now in high school each one is in a different team.

8:40 I love this opening so much, the arc mainly focuses on few specific teams and opening on itself focuses only on two matches. But cause one of the opponents has talent to copy other's people play-styles, they actually used him to showcase other characters, who doesn't really play against protag's team. Just seeing those snippets of him "changing" into different characters is so satisfying.

Number 7 (on Seirin's team [Kuroko's high school]) is the Iron Heart, Teppei Kiyoshi. Number 7 (on Teiko's team [Kuroko's middle school]) is Shintarou Midorima, the lefty shooting guard. Both are great. I'm not one for sports but this anime had my heart pounding! You should definitely put it on your watchlist.

If I remember correctly, Akashi and Kuroko were originally planned to be brothers (probably twins). That's why they have the same hairstyle before Akashi cut his bangs (as badass as that scene was, he should've had a professional do it 😂😂😂).

I love this series for sure. The thing is some people dont really like it as much because its not always realistic and has "super powers", for example a character that can shot anywhere in the court (yes full court included lol), and will never miss unless he is blocked or tired. But personally I think its really hype, and the matches are crazy as you could imagine.

I heard from a different comment section that the manga author of Kuroko no Basuke helped the manga author of Haikyuu with the poses when they were playing, like the jumps, etc.

Basically small red hair with cat eyes is Chris Paul, dark blue hair is Kyrie, green hair is curry, purple hair is Giannis and Howard mixed yellow hair is kobe and light blue hair is... Just him. In highschool they together formed the best team ever and trashed everyone in the country and now they're each in different colleges and so they compete for the winter cup

You should watch the anime, the Characters have all like one thing what they can do at Basketball and everyone has to deal with it and the main "rival team" is the one guy with pink hair (just that you know its anyway said at the first episode but there are 5 kids who are called 'wonder generation' and Kuroko the buddy with the blue hair is the 6th member called "phantom" cuz he has such a low appearance that its hard to see him straight away) Well just watch the first episode and you will understand better. And yea I watched Kuroko no Basket before Haikyuu and really liked it that's why I always search for Sports Anime.. I just love it when they are trying so hard and in the end the can do it owo You could watch the op of Black Butler?
