Be careful of T.D. Jakes and his teaching. He preaches the prosperity gospel, modalism, and compromises on biblical truth in other areas as well (Sodomy, the exclusivity of Christ, whether unbelievers go to heaven or not). His teaching might sound attractive, but it's not the Truth and it won't bring you salvation. The Truth is that we are sinners against a perfectly holy and just God, who has rightly condemned us to death and there is only one way to be saved, the Way, Jesus Christ. We must repent of our sins and believe in Christ, then we are saved.

That's honestly a wise pastor. Indeed, religion is the most toxic thing there is, and it prevents people from having a meaningful relationship with their spiritual self and inner peace, because there's just too much bullshit that surrounds it. All these lies written into words in text, all taken like its hand-delivered by god and not printed at a god damn book printing factory in China. As if the Christian bible itself isn't just a collection of stories with lies made convenient for the purposes of oral history or morality and controlling the narrative and the masses. People get lost in that shit instead of paying attention to the message: To love each other, and to take care of our young and weak. Because its easier to think if you pretend like you belong to the in-group long enough you'll somehow get a ticket into fake-afterlife.

I like it because it could be interpreted a couple of different ways. St. Paul said that if the law had not been given, there would be no such thing as sin, because people had to know what sin was before it could exist. So in that sense, evil literally comes from religion, even according to Christianity. But you could also interpreted it to mean that religion itself is evil and the source of evil, which is probably the way most people would take it (and is probably the intended interpretation in context). However, even that second interpretation doesn’t have to mean that religion is always bad-it could simply be a dramatic way of making the point that it’s often warped and misused.

It's Sunday morning and I'm back! Really appreciating the use of "epic bible reader guy" at the end combined with those clips, honestly his voice gives me chills. Also "hello my child" never gets old, it immediately takes you to a different setting, a much more chill relaxed setting, and then throws you out a few lines later.

3:30 I'm sorry, is that Kotomine choke-slamming Dabura?! Even knowing that Dabura's a DBZ character, I could believe that Kotomine would be able to do that. It _feels_ reasonable. Dabura didn't give the impression of being overwhelmingly competent in his home series, but fucking Kotomine is incredible. From providing medical assistance to kicking ass to eating tofu, he is not a force to be reckoned with.

Even if Kotomine might not believe in a god, his ability to act like it is enough to perform an exorcism on a literal devil. The same way that Superman is weak to magic, a demon could be weak to a pastor.

@@Kurosai I only read the original VN, and not any of the subsequent stuff, but I was pretty sure that kotomine did believe in god. He wanted to know if it was wrong for someone like him,, who took no pleasure in what people normally like, but who greatly enjoys doing evil acts, to have ever been born. He worked really hard for his entire life to live well, despite this. Besides, the anti spirit magic that the nasuverse church uses is the real deal. He had an amazing fight against Assassin.
