I used google sketchup 7 to create this 3d model.
It's based on original photos and video material from the greenhouse on april 8th 1994.
private investigator Tom Grant said in november 2008 about the stool:
"I'm the one who took the photos of that stool in the greenhouse that most have seen on the internet. It had an extra leg built onto is which protruded out from the side. It was a gag stool. That's why Kurt bought it."

the saddest part is the family who lives there now has a swing set on the very spot where the "greenhouse" / apartment was I sadly watched the kids playing on it back in 2006 as the parents gave me a shitty look as we looked over the back fence how disrespectful to even sell the house in the firstplace

@@jebstuart4004 I like how this person seems to think they are the hard done by one because they got a dirty look when they were the ones trespassing, creeping around and looking onto another person's property and at their kids because a stranger once committed suicide on the property.

This is fantastic! I love how my first drawn sketch way back in 2000 to a friend of mine on one of the first Kurt Cobain message boards has come to this point :) Kudos!

The 3D image is only slightly wrong. Kurts head was laying to the left which allowed for the blood to flow out of the left ear and pool on the floor. This shows his head leaning to the right. Sorry just pointint it out.

20ga shotgun would've laid the head wide open like a split melon, the fact there isn't "splatter" across the floor and on a portion of the back wall should've raised eyebrows.

@@patrioticconstitutionalist735 was already dead from huge heroin overdose when shot thats why it didn't make a mess of his head no blood pressure from beating heart = no blood splatter plus the shotgun was set up for light load bird shot. Kurt bought it for protection from burglars but if discharged in the house the light load would not penetrate the walls.

@@ste6298 Some of what you say holds weight, but regardless of blood flow there is still plenty of blood and brain matter it would've made a mess. And yes if a 410 low brass bird shot will penetrate a wall, a 20 ga. will too the pressure from that round at the point of exiting the muzzle would've been enough to make one helluva mess best believe that, just take a look at the dude that got his arm damn near taken off while trying to shoot that Kyle Rittenhouse, that round never touched his arm that was from the pressure exiting the muzzle. Kurt would've had to been dead over 24 hours for all the blood to clot and not make a mess, may ask how I know well I been a butcher for 17 years now on the kill floor, also an avid hunter and gun enthusiast my entire life hell the shotgun I learned to hunt with wasn't any different from the Rem. Model 11 kurt had, the gun I grew up shooting was a Browning A-5 with a poly choke but was a 12 gauge. But regardless once those investigators walked in and seen the layout should've sparked a full blown investigation, why it wasn't fully investigated should be a question everybody should be asking the Seattle police department.

@6aokan The stool is located in front of the french doors which leads to a balcony. This door was not the entrance to the room.

Heidi C. Franks i hv done so much research on kurt cobain's death. i agree with you tht high profile cases should not be handled in this manner. but i go 1 better than tht, the SPD should investigate his body regardless who he is. doesnt matter. i also learned but im not sure if this is true, kurt cobain left leg down his knee is broken by the time his body is found. very interesting.

One more mind fuck for you: If Kurt shot himself/was shot while lying on the floor the gun was basically already lying on him and therefore couldn't fall anywhere else but on himself. In any case there should've been at least partial fingerprints on the gun, but there weren't any. So where did they go? Did they just miraculously vanish into thin air? I don't think so. Someone other than Kurt handled the gun and wiped it down!

There were fingerprints on the shotgun they just weren't eligible, still doesn't change the fact that everything about it is sketchy, after seeing Soaked in Bleach and doing more reading on it, I definitely believe he was murdered

Please explain to me what may have happened to have caused the recoil of the shotgun to NOT be so subtle and not jolted so far away from his body just as ANY OTHER shotgun would with just the pull or push of a trigger WITHOUT anything to secure the butt stock in a tight position.

The type of gun used has a weaker recoil that guns of a different gauge and the butt stock was likely wedged between his feet. It did recoil as it jumped and flipped but it would be nowhere near enough to send it flying across the room like some theorists think. If he was standing up when he fired, that would be different. But he wasn't.

The main problem is that there are opioid receptors in your brainstem which controls your heart rate and your breathing. The higher you get the lower your heart rate and the shallower your breathing gets. If you just have slightly too much it can take hours until you die, if you die at all. If you get a monster dosage like Kurt then it's game over before you even know it. It's over so quickly that you don't even get to pull out the needle from your arm, leave alone pick up a gun!

Ok, so what's more than just fingers around the gun? As far as I'm concerned all muscles relax if you shoot yourself in the head because the brain seizes to function and therefore loses its control over the muscles and tendons. A link on the matter that supports what you just wrote would be greatly appreciated. I googled it and found nothing so far that even mentions your statement!

As I said before, countless people have been found with the gun still in their hands. That does neither prove that it was a murder nor does it prove that it was a suicide. Where the gun ends up in the case of a suicide all depends on the position you're in when you shoot yourself and how far it is to the ground. That's what I meant before with you contradicting yourself constantly! Maybe you'll understand it this time.

Not necessarily! If he was sitting upright and had the gun against the floor it probably wouldn't have gone anywhere, especially because the ammo he was using was the light gauge, non-wall-penetrating home protection shells.

I found this to be somewhat interesting to look at but I have a couple of questions. 1) The note that you have marked laying on the counter is mising something. It was officially stated that the note he wrote out before his tragic end was found lying on top of a small potted plant. The pen he used was stabbed thru the note itself into the dirt of the potted plant. Whereabout on the note whether it was a corner, near the middle etc, I don't know or least remember anyway but that was a fact stated

User-pl..... Suicide is REAL!!! What he was going through at the time! The isolation from everyone he was close to... the pressures. I've been where he was wanting to LEAVE FOREVER and tried a few times! Just like the OD's I've been through! I was VERY VERY lucky!! to still be here! Going though those things! You KNO how it gets to that and what runs through ur head to get to that point! And with the OD's... you see that you have an amount of time before it's too much and you nod till you don't wake from the nod.... That's hope people kno ITS SERIOUS from just the normal use time

If the muscles Relax then the shutgun would have fallen and not stay grabbed to is hands and fingers.This is common sense.A human could not involve is hands and fingers to look like he had kll himself.Also the muscles,bones,fingers and hand position in the gun could not be "manipulated" by other person.Is not possible in any way.This is the prove that he did not kill himself.Is not even possible by hypnosis.There is no way!I dont know any link and i will not search it for you.Do your home work.

Nah, I wouldn't put it that way, parts of it are very true. But I think he had bad luck. It just happened too much in a short time. Got to know Courtney -> regular heroin use -> Courtney pregnant -> heroin habit -> marriage -> habit made public and so on...and realizing courtney was not that kind of wife he wanted and the bad image of him that was created by the media put him down

Facts backs what i say....If the muscle relax after a shoot then the gun would fall and not grabbed in is hands and fingers.Also if a finger trigger the gun you have all the position of the hand and fingers in the right place something other human would not be able to do and the muscles and bones are contracted.No human can do this to other human.My source is Human Anatomy goo buy a Book and start reading.

I totally believe he did it himself,there IS NO standard lethal dose of heroin for someone with a tolerance.A dose that could kill 6 people without a tolerance[most of us]could,and I stress "could'possibly,not even stop,the withdrawal's of a person with a very high"tolerance"[Kurt's was said to be $500 a day of very high quality=a huge/large tolerance],OR only get them high,IT ALL DEPENDS on the TOLERANCE;Medical fact.
