Each new K-series sounds a little bit cleaner, crispier and brighter than the previous one. That also means that some low-end and punch has to be sacrified. Personally I think the perfect balance was reached somewhere between the K2500 & K2600, and that's mostely becauseI haven't really heard the K2700 ''growl & bite'' yet. But maybe it's still to come :). Anyways, nice vid and demo between the two, and that last solo bit is just frikkin' insane! 👌

K2600 is warmer and fuller. Not a surprise though. These older synths just sounded more “phat” than the new ones.

I'm surprised to say a lot of these patches sound better on the k2700. I would love to get one. I will have to wait and see if they come out with a smaller keyboard with regular action keys tho. I currently have 2 K2600rs rack units that I love, and I would totally go for a rack version of this thing although I know that will never happen. (I also previously owned a K2500RS with the KDFX and 2 K2000 keyboards). Another thing is they really should bring back the sample waveform editor and the actual ability to sample into the unit, and more importantly, the RESAMPLING feature. That was the most key feature of the K2500 and K2600/K2661.

Yeah SMP-K 0rig on K2000 is/was the best that's why I hang on tooo K2kSv.3 IMHO, IYAME & TOME:call me crazy but A maxed out one is just as good & warmer to my ears KDFX not withstanding (I kinda like the DigiTech efx¡) That's mainly why I had K2600R('til it got burgled?!) for KDFX, to control it with K2kS & storage[no sample option on K26Cr:figured I didn't need it since LIS had maxed out K2kS & SMP-K's pretty much the same on all K-series kits and resampling is tooo I believe thanx dude [P.S. Now with ZuluSCSI, makes old hardware samplers viable again & almost non-voliatile (damn near¡) boots so quickly kids]

The K2700 is the best one for me. It’s the keyboard I’m gonna get soon as well as it being my main MIDI controller for the VSTs I’ll also get. And the fact that it has the classic Kurzweil piano sound just like the K2600 is definitely a great reason for me to get it, as I grew up with many shows that used it like Clifford, Teletubbies, and Caillou. UPDATE: Actually, my main MIDI controller will mostly be either the Arturia Keylab 61 MK2 or the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61, depends on which one is better, but I’ll try the Oxygen Pro first since it’s cheaper. The Kurzweil will be the secondary controller, mainly for piano sounds.

Da possessore di un k2661 dico con rammarico che kurzweil è immobile da oltre 20 anni, quando hanno annunciato il k2700 mi è preso un coccolone, una nuova serie k dopo oltre 20 anni, mi aspettavo una bomba atomica e invece nulla.

El sprint final desde el 13:00 al final 13:27 es más que impresionante como sobrecogedor como canta ese feroz sound analógico del K2600X en esa atmósfera de grandeza y Omnipotencia al son de ese fulgurante acorde orquestal del K2700,lo más colosal e impresionantes es fusionar los monstruosos potenciales de los 2 repartiendo manos 2 arriba y 2 abajo 176 teclas a pleno rendimiento!!!nada ningún dispositivo instrumento fórmula musical es comparable a esa colosal fusión ilimitada de posibilidades, ni en 3 vidas se agotarían imposible límites definitivamente,no sería necesario sacar un supuesto K2800 o K3000 que se supone llegarán

I don't see a 2800 on the horizon only way maybe, is if it's gonna be a desktop(it'll be the first for Kurz) or rack & they'll just call it K2700R. K3000 is already a voice(speech)to +xt computer program(mer) or something of that ilk I believe dude

Según escucho que tengo el K2600X hace un porrón de años apenas noto diferencias en cuanto grandilocuencia y majestuosidad de sonidos y muestras ambos suenan sencillamente a cine más que espectaculares en cuanto a la complejidad y sofisticado debe ser mucho más el K2700 ya que más de 20 años en tecnológica e informática musical es muchísimo tiempo pero puedo quedarme con mi K2600X que no veo necesario tener el nuevo en principio decir que suena de miedo y de muerte quizá sea poco

Él está comparando sonidos similares entre los dos teclados. Como por ejemplo el Strike Piano... El Kurzweil K2700 tiene nuevos samples de piano, sintesis FM, y otras cosas que el K2600 no tiene. De igual manera el K2600 suena asombroso.

e has his 2600k all expanded to this day in his home studio he didn't throw it in the trash. he also worked for korg at the time of 01/W.

I think a k2600 is real K! K2700 is just Kurzweil new super synth not K series! i have a 2 full option K2500xs & K2661s, my super sampler!!

Personally I know in the deep the K2600 and also the K2700. I have also the PC3, Forte and PC4. The k2700 have the same powerful of K2600 and when I play the same sound of k26 on K27 I feel the same power. Many of sounds are different because the technology are different, but if you close your eyes and listen the sounds, for sure you can’t recognize which one is K26 or K27….Believe me….The K2700 are really a very nice Keyboard.

@@WilmarBoer I had 2 PC3. One classic Pc3 and one PC3k. The PC3 compared to the K2600 is an evolution of that era. All the sounds of the Roms of the K2 era in a more complete version and with the addition of new sounds and with 128 notes of polyphony. Personally today I still have the K2600 and I sold the PC3. I also had a PC4 and later got K2700. I also sold PC4. Now I have K2600 and K2700. I find them similar in terms of power and quality. K2700 for me is a K2600 enhanced with all the new sound generation of the last 25 years of Kurzweil

the Names of the patches are from the BEST OF VAST downloadable for free on the Kurzweil website. I just loaded the k2600 files into the K2700 and added some effects chain. Unfortunately the KDFX effects chain on the K2700 is not recognized. You have to set up the effect chain manually. But it's not complicated to do.

Здравствуйте если понимаете на русском скажите сколько стоят эти инструменты и на сколько они богаты мозгами тембрами и авто аккомпонементом сколько там есть крутых стилей я поэт и композитор я хоть бедный всю жизнь но надеюсь в этом году разбогатеть а вообще надо поднимать , я есть в тик токе ютубе и инстаграме

Il 2600 ha un suono più raffinato e ancora oggi emoziona; il 2700 ha dei campioni più lunghi ma una sonorità piatta (le note acute del pianoforte acustico sono pure stonate?). Il 2600 all'epoca era il top. Vince sicuramente la concorrenza dei tre colossi giapponesi.

la magia del k2600 non la batte nessuno. K2700 pare abbia un po' più di dinamica e di definizione ma, da un demo su youtube non si può di certo affermare. Poi va beh.. a livello di prestazioni avrà di sicuro più cose ma, a conti fatti non so quanti sfrutterebbero tutto sto po po di roba. Già è quasi impossibile sfruttare appieno una k2600... quindi secondo me, non so quanto ne valga la pena. Alle mie orecchie, la K2600 ha più fascino.

Lo q escucho aquí, q el k2600 es analógico y el k2700 es digital y con todo la tecnología actual ..la sgte versión van ha correguir ese error, de salida o sonido, por qué ,Kurzweil siempre se caracterizó por tener sonidos de alta calidad...
