Making a Wood Stool with Hand Tools

I spend a few days crafting a three-legged stool from a large white spruce tree. I use only hand tools and no nails or adhesives. The stool is held together with joinery and small hand-carved wooden dowels. The finished product is very sturdy and should hold up to many years of use.

As a hand tool woodworker, I'm totally impressed with how you made fine furniture joinery with minimal and primitive tools. You get my subscription.

Oh my goodness!! As soon as I saw the title I was smiling after having watched the drill video. Ryley that was fantastic!!! You answered a question I had, how long did it take you. Honestly it’s nice to know this wasn’t a short afternoon project. My brother you are a woodsman, rough carpenter and finish carpenter, gourmet chef and bushcrafter in addition to being an excellent producer, director, and editor of these always excellent videos. Well done!!! As always Ryley, thanks for making me better. Almost forgot, I really enjoyed seeing you use your wood maul/mallet to baton your axe and use your axe to drive wood wedges.
