"Sannani" is the song of the celebration among the youth in the hills. The only time of the gathering of the youth. The tunes is the expression of the teasing by the boys in the Hath Bazaar (the monthly market). This is the time when all the people gather from different village.
11 March, 2017, we released an album at Patan Museum, called "The Himalayan Highlands".
Its the outcome of our journey to the Highlands of Scotland, its a cross-cultural inbound of the folk music between the two countries. The geographic distribution of the Scottish highlands and the hills of Nepal share several similarities. Among which the the winds in the Scottish Highlands blowing a pleasant tone triggers a home like aura, away from home.
Likewise the music from the mountains and hills of Nepal and from the highland expresses the similar essence.
