I've been living in Kuwait for nine months now and I've been putting off filming my Kuwait apartment tour for that whole time. But today's the day! Here's my Kuwait apartment tour so you guys can see where I've been living in Kuwait. The apartment I've been living in in Kuwait doesn't belong to me. One of the perks of working in Kuwait is that my apartment is provided for me. It doesn't really look like it did in the pictures so it's going to be more of an expectations vs reality type apartment tour.

I think the window is so that the smell and heat of food leaves the kitchen easier. Especially if you’re cooking things on the stove!

I think that odd window in the kitchen is an air shaft for fresh air intake. If you open it, and crack the balcony window, you might get a fresh air cross flow.

I think that kitchen window is meant to be a window into a light well. In theory light wells are used to add matural light to interior rooms that otherwise wouldn't have it. But that light well is too small to function as intended. Haha

Farwaniya is known in kuwait to be a bad a scary area to live in 😂, our nice and most popular areas to live in is fnaitees, almasayel. Sabah alsalem, rumaithya etc. I would rather live in these areas and pay rent then what the school provides me with. They could have at least put you in a bigger apartment!

@@AimeeRebecca I studied in a British school in Kuwait, and many teachers from my school lived in this big apartment building in Sabah Al Salem, just a few streets away from my own home. It was a weird feeling because I'll be playing football or behaving like a prick and then I would see one of my teachers walking with their baby in the stroller

Im sorry that ur experience in kuwait is awful and you have a bad luck, thats how your showing it to others.But, alot of expats (americans and british) love kuwait and are living the best of it and many have lived in kuwait for long years because they admire it and they understand that they are living in the dessert thats why its hot and dusty. I dont like how your showing others the bad impression of kuwait and making fun of it when really its not how it is.If you dont like kuwait that doesnt mean every expat doesnt like it here. Good luck you did a right choice in leaving kuwait because its not the right place for u.
@AimeeRebecca
@AimeeRebecca 6 жыл бұрын
On the contrary. I think I actually said in the video that my apartment isn’t a reflection of how everyone lives in Kuwait so I’m certainly not making any broad generalisations. I also said I was really grateful to have my apartment provided for me as part of my contract. I have never said that my time in Kuwait was awful. In every single video I ever made about Kuwait I expressed the positives of living there and reiterated more times than I can count how happy I was that I had made the decision to move there. If you sensed any kind of negativity towards Kuwait in this video of me just showing people where I lived then that was not based on any comments I made or anything I said.

Nooo you don’t want to live in America. We’re being robbed here and our government doesn’t function. Housing costs are getting ever higher while wages are down. An ambulance ride to the hospital costs a couple thousand dollars alone. You can only have insurance if you have a job too, this in a country with a precarious employment situation. We have a gig economy. The small towns are dying and the big cities are getting so expensive that even communal living with a bunk bed costs $1200/month. STAY AWAY from this country. It’s in decline!
