Being injury prone is something that you cannot change much, Messi was playing since he was 17 and he barely had any bigger injuries, Mainoo is playing regularly for his country and club and he's still injury free. Playing time helps the body get used to it. By keeping him on the sideline you make him rusty and even more likely to pick up an injury when he'll finally play

The game against Germany was at 6pm, but he still got taken off, an hour in. I was fine with it as he's overplayed this season and needs to rest. Good thing he rejected Olympics for Spain. I think he should avoid pre season and have an extended time off to rest and recover. I would be fine with him missing the whole of August too and then see him return in September, shortly after the international break. Not like this will happen. He'll go pre season, he'll continue to play every game and increase the risk of a serious injury

I'm pretty sure the reason why he is being substituted before the end of the games is because he is too young and his body is not yet fully matured, so in order to not overload his not yet fully matured body and put him on risk of lesion he is usually changed around minute 70.
