Rapala X-Raps are my favorite slashbait / jerkbait. A PHENOMENAL lure that was and still is WAAAY ahead of its time and who invented the weight transfer system in a jerkbait… the Rapala X-Rap. I can’t believe how Beautiful, realistic and what jewels 💎 those lures are! -AND THEY CAME OUT IN THE TURN OF THE 21ST CENTURY! IN LIKE 1999 or 2000! And THEY ARE STILL SELLING TODAY IN STORES AND LOOK SO REALISTIC! A Lure that truly was and still is ahead of its time.

Or early 2000’s. Either way the Rapala X-Raps came out a long time ago and are still relevant and sold still to this day!

If I've watched 1 video on how best to work a jerk bait Ive watched 20 Yours Mr. Vandam was not only the best explanation it was dirt pie easy to understand which means it will be dirt pie easy to remember and dirt pie easy to use Thank you

Obviously KVD is great, but ending a fishing video without a hookset is like showing how to make a roast then ending before it comes out of the oven.

What pound test fluoro? 6 1/2 ft rod or 7?

The less poundage on your line the deeper your bait will dive. The longer your rod, the more likely you'll slap the water with the tip but you'll get longer casts.

No but it certainly helps to allow you to get to deeper water so there’s enough depth for it to not get hung up on grass or hit bottom.

Everytime I watch his VIDEO's. He never shows what he is fishing with. A Smoke S3 PT. Or ACCURIST PT S3. Vapor or Icon. Tour or just a Pulse and what rod he's using. Shawn

What's wrong with that. It's a 7 to 1 ratio. One turn of the handle 360 degrees = 7 turns of the spool. The spool circumference is about 4" or so. 7 times 4" is 28"
