One important question to Murali Mohan sir from many Uppi fans: Sir please tell us about the box office controversy of H2O. Movie got record breaking opening and ran 50 days in many theaters and 75+ days in Bangalore Kapali. Still producer Dhanraj declared it as flop and protested against Upendra in front of his house. Years later Upendra clarified in tv9 that it was a success. Please give us clarity if it was hit or flop. @Gaurish Akki sir, make sure you ask this question to Murali sir, as h2o controversy and incidents are very interesting.

I am watching from few days, this guy might be little talented but, he can't put down Uppi, this is wrong what he is doing. Ivru hellodhina yela accept madoke agala. Ivru AC room nali ivaga comment madodhu thumba easy....but, Uppi and others eshtondhu effort hakirthare, we can't ignore that hardwork, sometimes bad luck agathe, film flop agathe. There is no Hit formula. That's why - Legends don't do small talks like this guy like blah blah antha. Legends (Rajkumar, Sachin, Federer) ONLY deliver through their work and not by talking.

Swasthik - 8 weeks in Bangalore (Santhosh + Sapna), 8 weeks in Mysore - Gayathri (huge opening, but couldn't reach expectations) - Above Average hit Uppi 2 - 8 weeks at Narthaki, 7 weeks in Rockline & USA, 6 weeks in PVR Orion, PVR Forum, Gopalan Archade, Mysore, Hubli, 5 weeks in Mangalore (huge opening, KFI's biggest simultaneous release of its time in Karnataka, AP/TG, Bombay, Pune & USA in total of 250-300 theaters & blockbuster opening in multiplexes, hit collection total 16 cr gross on 5 crore budget, multiplex super hit - 2nd highest number of tickets sold in BMS in 2015 & at its time 4th highest 2624 multiplex shows, Overseas hit - 7-8 weeks run & 35 lakh gross in USA, also did well in australia, germany, singapore, overseas total 40-50 lakh; but couldn't meet expectations for Upendra's direction standards) - Above Average success

Swastik, Operation Antha were utter flops. H2O was a flop too.

@@satishnithyanandam Swasthik was above average which ran 50 days in Bangalore, Mysore with huge opening and recovered investment. H2O was a super hit in box office, being one of the highest grossing films of 2002. H2O got all time record breaking opening, released in highest number of theaters at that time and collected record weekend and first week collection, ran 50 days in 20+ theaters and more than 75 days in big theater like Kapali in Bangalore, producer lost money because of personal financial loan/debt commitments inspite of movie being hit.
