Drill started in Chicago, then artists like LD and Stickz brought it to the uk using Chicago beats and then uk producers like carns hill, la beats etc. started to change the sound to make it our own. A few years later producers like M1onthebeat and Mktheplug who are both from the uk were producing for a lot of uk artists and the beats were completely different to what the Chicago ones were. Now drill as u hear it today comes from the uk as all the beats that are being used are either from uk producers like Ghosty, Gotcha, Bkay and the whole massive scene of uk drill producers or have been inspired by them. Pop Smokes songs were produced by 808 melo, axl and yoz who r all from the uk. 22gz is songs r produced by Ghosty also from the uk
