IVF में एक embryo काफी कम पेशेंट्स में डाला जाता है। पहले IVF करते समय 4-5 embryo डाले जाते है फिर 2-3 embryo डाले जाने लगे पर अब माँ की उम्र , माँ को twins चाहिए या नहीं या patient के IVF cycle कितने हुए है इसके उपर कितने embryos डालने है वह तय किया जाता है। पर अब ज्यादा से ज्यादा 2 ही embryos डालें जाते है।
Twins होने की ख़ुशी अलग होती है पर twin pregnancy बोहोत complicated होती है और 50-60% बच्चे premature पैदा होते है।
IVF में जो deliveries होते है वह normal या c-section दोनों तरीकेसे कर सकते है जो डॉक्टर की सलाह से की जाती है। IVF में compulsory नहीं है twin pregnancy होती ही है। भारत में clinic ज्यादा से ज्यादा single embryo transfer का option देते है। थोड़ा सा success rate कम हो सकता है पर बच्चा आपका healthy होगा।
