@carmenbloom7323 - it means that from your total lenght of cord, the two inner cords must be shorter and only be 250cm long when you do your larks head knot

If you stop the video on the screen where the measurements are written in English it's all listed there for you....... then just google how to convert cm into inches, then you've got your answer.

Baixe o google tradutor no celular lá tem a opção câmera, abra e aponte para o texto que será automaticamente traduzido. Só não consegui entender que tipo de fio em mm é usado o que implica no resultado final da peça... Se descobrir me fala tá.

It’s 4mm 😊 She mentions it at the beginning of the tutorial when stipulating the lengths.

I don't want to run into the same sadness...do you recall what lengths you used? Should I add 12in to each? more? Any help is appreciated!

@@afostermay Alarm bells were ringing for me after I started on the first part of this pattern. You can see in the video how short her lengths are in the first couple of sections, and how she struggles to get the ends to loop around at the end of the section. There really is no need for this...just make them a bit longer! I undid this part at least a dozen times...soooo frustrating! I finally managed to manipulate the cords and get everything tucked in (just!). I ended up just having the lengths equal (not offset as she does), and just squeaked in. Then I got the the second section of knots...I had completed 10 diamonds with another 6 to go, and had about 30cm of cord left on one length - nowhere near enough. So I undid it all (again...this pattern has certainly given me a lot of practice in undoing my work!), and started over. I have now cut 5 metre lengths instead of 3.7. I’d rather have some left over than not have enough! I have been staring at this on my rack for a couple of weeks, feeling annoyed every time I looked at it, and have only just started again tonight. I am hoping I can use the cords I have already cut for other parts of this project. If not, I’ll definitely use them on another pattern where the lengths are more accurate. I would say to cut at least an metre extra, at least for the first two sections that loop back up to the rod. All the best, let me know how you go!

Ok, so I finished the knotted section under the beads last night. I used 5 metre lengths, and ended up with the following lengths once I’d finished: 35cm 45cm 60cm 67cm. So you can see there is no way I could have completed that section with the 3.7m lengths suggested, I just wouldn’t have had enough rope. Hope that helps!
